I disagree with your first assertion, as long as she can prove that she's good in what she does then she stand a better chance than a guy in getting a job. Mind you even as guy you have to proof that you are good in your job before you can be given that job.
So you have two engineers, painters, plumbers or electricians to pick from. Without having any prior knowledge of their experience or skill level. Just that one is male and the other is female. Who do you think will more likely get the job just on a blind pick. No interview or skill assessment process to be done before selecting the applicant? Who do you think people will assume is more knowledgeable or skilled?

Be sincere to yourself. No need to respond to me.

Let’s go easy on the untrue things we say on this forum sha.

cheesy cheesy cheesy

Women enjoy more patronage and leeway in male dominated blue collar jobs if prospecting customers can get past the gender.

I notice that agberos do not collect money from women drivers (buses/cars and Kekes).

If the woman's vehicle breaks down, the men quickly jump out to help her push it. Peeps are also willing to leave their change with them.

In retrospect, I think it goes both ways.
Male hairdressers also enjoy more patronage and leeway.
At bolded, male excel in female dominated businesses because they perform better and more skilful while women excel in male dominated businesses because of pity from being regarded as 'weaker vessel' or just to encourage them, or using sex to get customers.

These two entirely different things.

Men earn by sweat, hardwork and merit, women don't.
Life doesn't pity men, not same case for women.

true it does go both ways, it is a pity that many ladies do not really understand the vast opportunities that await them when they fit into such roles. I'm currently sponsoring a lady on barbing training and when she is done, i'll set up a barbing shop for her so she can fend for herself. I really don't like the way she asks men for little things like data or airtime.
And how many rounds of se.x are you going to request from her?
Nothing goes for free, not with Nigerian men assisting women

You don’t get a free pass as a woman.

In fact, you constantly have to prove yourself. Prove that you’re capable, just as smart, work twice as hard to earned your place etc. all that to still be assumed less knowledgeable or competent.

Something that we see everyday. I don’t get the reason why people are making stuff up.
Just in the hospital alone, a female doctor and a male nurse or maybe even a male CNA go in to see a patient, the guy will get more respect the moment he walks into the room, they’ll assume he’s the doctor and she’s the assisting staff.

I've observed through life that a lot of ladies are dominating job roles meant for men and this is commendable. As a woman doing such, you get to find out that people encourage you to continue and never give up, while some who are kind hearted even bless you financially as a form of encouragement. When you hammer, people would be like, eh, she don go sleep with one Alhaji like that, na why she go buy venza, not knowing it was your hardwork and doggedness that paid off, or someone liked your work and gave you a mad ass contract running into millions.

Benefits

1. You get free pass as a woman

2. You get more customers

3. Customers could even encourage you by telling you to keep the change.

Businesses/jobs you can engage in as a woman

1. Keke driving business

2. Barbing business

3. Painting jobs

4. POP jobs

5. Stamped concrete fixing (juicy)

6. Auto engineer

7. Tiling

8. Electrical wiring

9. Carpentry design

10. Roofing.

Make that bold decision as a woman today and take up jobs that the society thinks are only meant for women.

Bless you.

This is true to some extent.
I was learning furniture making in my final year, I initially wanted to train as as automobile reapaire but had the opportunity to get trained in furniture making. Iwould be required to carry MDFs, HDFs and other boards and things, I'd gum, tape, smoothen boards/wood etc that weren't the most tasking. I even started to make Kolo for everyone from bits of woods and boarded. I went everywhere with my boss unless I couldn't make it to work that day. We went to sites and market, I'd get home late s lot of times. I even ate bread, groundnut and coke taya, drank garri also grin grin grin
I'd get smiles and admirations from people who'd be surprised to see a lady training in that aspect. I had to pause when UI exams and project wan kill me before time. grin grin grin grin
I went for service and stayed there for a year and half but the good furniture making places I saw were really far from where I stayed.
I sha don dey hustle. grin grin grin grin before Nigeria will make someone's life frustrated and I'll begin to wonder if my life is having any meaning.
I have basic knowledge of other things.
Even if one doesn't have full knowledge, it's really good to know some things in other areas of life, makes life a bit simpler when you have an idea of different things.
Honestly, I'm certain my kids will acquire these skills (automobile repairs, furniture making, shoe making, plumbing and co).
Nigeria is tough, just continue with whatever it is you're doing if you don't have time to acquire skills that's take years to fully gain knowledge of.

An average naija lady is trained as a liability and a beggar.. Thank God for the slight improvement in this generation...
I saw op listing jobs that ladies should engage in...even hairdressing job that is purely ladies are being done better than a guy...fashion designers jobs for ladies wear are being done better than a guy....as, at today, the best makeup artist in Nigeria is a guy....
Leave ladies with their leeching mentality that is their source of not achieving as they ought to...
You will see a graduate lady still counting on his bf to celebrate a befitting birthday... My question is what happens to your brain? You are being taught by the same lecturer in the school...but your mentality as a leecher has limited most of them...
I'm still looking for a generation beyond all these feminists propagandists....nobody is infringing on any woman's right again...they have the right to vote and be voted for....feminist is now an old fashion...
I'm looking for a generation that women would be able to toast the men of their choice and relinquishing their old leeching mentality and step up their game...not the type that woman is seen as a product in a shelf store looking for a viable customer to place a value on it and be purchase...
And products are meant for use...the style of use now depends on the buyer...
So, women don't complain when the buyer uses you anyhow because, he has seen u as a product on a shelf for him to use...instead of becoming a product on the shelf, become a partner in the company...when your husband is talking about a million, have some similar figure to quote by the reasons of your engaging in professional dealing...
Don't stop checking your husband's pocket and bank account and start building your own pockets and bank account in millions and billions...

Stop reading nonsense feminazi posts that purposely create their own narrative.

I have read this narrative a thousand times from a thousand feminists and I'm sure you have too. Make Una try form another story abeg.

It's these narratives that is holding you back. Your lenses have been skewed so much so that, if someone simply coughs around, you are forced to assume it is an attack on your gender.

In fighting prejudice, you yourself become prejudiced.

But then again you can keep wallowing in your victim-hood mentality. And the world will always do what it does—we will give you our pity.
Re: Why Women Should Get Into Male Dominated Jobs by Nobody: 10:26am On Sep 15, 2021
Women talks.
All they do is make noise.
Women should never be taken seriously.
The other day I wanted to teach a girl how to play chess, she laughed.
I asked for the reason behind her laughter, she responded that it's too stressful.

If you ever take a WOMAN seriously and hark into her words, you'd want to strangle her. They always never make sense.

You only focus on the negatives.

You are painting an incomplete picture, what you are saying is just one aspect of it which is how people perceive you at first glance.

This is only an issue because the medical field is customer facing, once you prove yourself once, that is all you need. You become a super star amongst your male colleagues.

Being a lady in a male dominated field or vice versa makes you unique and you move up the ladder faster.

In tech for example, we have what we call diversity hire, a lot of women are giving higher priority in hiring. If they are more than average they become super stars. Shopify Canada is one company that does this 100% because i have witnessed it from them.

Once you prove yourself once, that's all you need. You earn your respect!

Exactly what i am saying. Imagine you actually became a professional in the field. Don't be surprised an automobile company from Germany or Finland can call for you because you are unique. That's how it works.

If you are unique in a particular field, people will respect you.

Same thing happens in professional organizations too. Women are giving less daunting activities. That's why most people in the BULK room in banks are men because the work is very tedious while the customer care in the banks are more of women.

I don't know why some people don't want to be honest about this and focus on negatives.
