“Yahoo reduced cultism in University campuses” — Man sparks debate by JoshuaOmoruyi(m): 3:32pm On Sep 18, 2021

A Nigerian man identified as Tope recently took to social media to make a case for Yahoo against Cultism on university campuses.

The issue of “Cultism” and its wrong impact in universities and the society at large had trended yesterday on popular micro-blogging sites, Twitter, and many people have weighed in on the matter.

Many social media users also recalled their time in school and the experience they had with cultists – long story cut short, it was not a very pleasant experience for them.

However, Tope feels “yahoo” has reduced cultism in University campuses in Nigeria, as one “non-violent” crime replaced a previously violent crime.

Read his tweet below ;

“I think Yahoo reduced cultism in the university campuses and even among st the young people generally.

One crime replaced another. But only that this one is non violent..

Boys discovered they could be doing jazz to get money instead of using it for some gun control. Lmao”

Actually there are pros and cons, it reduced yes but its now a different ball game. You can as well claim it created more rift between different yahoo cliques.

But i can totally understand and agree

It introduced the caste system.

By the way, who is talking about cultism? Isn't the entertainment industry filled with cultists? Oh, I see. The rich cultist is a godfather, while the poor one is an area boy! Wow.

In school, lecturers are now interested in two sets of people: yahoo boys for bigger bribes and those candidates for sexually transmitted grades.

You see those who don't meet this class of people? Even Job in the Bible no suffer reach them... especially the girls who stood by their words not to submit their bodies to lecturers.

The intelligent boys are made to be living dead. Lecturers now dey tell people say no bi by wetin you know...na by wetin you get.

Am I even forgetting about the overly recycling of handouts? Handouts forced on students to buy?

You may argue they reported to the Senate. Aren't the members of the Senate the same people? Those truth twisters?

It's tasking to find a mannered lecturer in Nigerian schools. They are very rare...and you'll notice, they don't last. They are mostly sidelined to the neither world because those students who have big gods would single them out as a stumbling block.

You'd ask me about the VC. VC? Vice-Chancellor of Bedroom affairs?

Abeggi.

I can proudly tell you that Nigerian schools are a scam!

Think: a poor boy who cannot meet up with these extravagant bills will have to find a way to. How about the poor girl child? Is anyone ready to borrow them free money? Hence, they either succumb to sexually increasing their GP or deploying beads and calabash.

Who is to blame?

Everyone.

Society doesn't care more about genuine work. Parents are also forcing their children to become “sth in life” anyhow they can do it.

Truck pushers are now seen as god-forbid curses. But you see that 24-year old with the Benz? That's the man. You see that girl who uploaded her nude, or is acting porn on National TV (whether married or not) and is ready to arabanko? That's the babe.

The lecturer even have night chats with them to complain about their problems to extort money. To the other few, the entertainment industry will then sign endorsements!

And sb will come and post “God Bless Them.”

Such paused brain for a flibbertigibbet!

Come even reason am, who dey sabi poor man?

Poor man like me wey wan visit my lecturer, as one junior student enter en house wey don full. Na me and one of my guy e tell to stand up. E dey beg me to stand. He said, and I quote: “e better to sabi one big man than fifty pieces of poor men.”

Coming to think of it, is he wrong? I don't think so. When you are arrested unjustly in Nigeria is when you'd realize the plenty of truths in that statement.

Why are we even talking about Nigerian education? Is it not after you graduate you begin to ride Okada, or learn tailoring?
