First ask yourself, of everything i've been taught in biochemistry, which field do I intend to specialize in? What problem are you observing in the society that can be solved with the knowledge of biochemistry and your specialization.

From here coin a topic around such problem. Go online and type your proposed topic. Read 20 journals on the related works. Check what they did, what they achieved, and what they didn't or could not do. Modify your topic to capture their limitations.

I am a Master's student of Chemical Engineering here in Nigeria. I have just completed my course work. I am available to work as a research assistant. My research interest is plastic recycling and utilization of biomass waste as material and energy resources. This will be possible. Admission into PhD program varies by university; in general the following are considered:

—- relevant courses taken and passed at undergraduate + master classes are largely considered.

—- CGPA at both undergraduate and master levels.

—-thesis or research area is taken into consideration.

— Research proposal on how relevant to your proposed and previous academic will be considered


In most countries abroad, the PhD admission evaluation will be largely based on your undergraduate courses 70-80% (meaning that, in the academic aspect, the department check if you have taken and passed relevant courses to economics at your undergraduate level), then this will be combine with relevant courses you have taken at your master level 20-30%.

If there are courses you are supposed to take to boost your knowledge, you will be given foundation courses relevant to Econs.

Hello everyone. Why is it that y'all skip my posts without reply. I have a question. Please kindly explain to me like you are explaining to a child. I did my undergraduate program in Business Administration and masters in Management. I have NO publications YET. I intend going for a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology in one of the universities in the US. Here are my questions:

1. Since I am switching from Business Admin and management to Psychology, how do I explain my research interest, given the fact that I do not know much about this?
2. How do I mail a professor and get him to accept me?
3. Since I have no publications yet and I want to make a switch to Industrial/Organizational Psychology, do I have to publish on management journals or psychology journals?
