The answer to your questions is capital yes. The governors and the local government chairmen constitute 80% of those problems.
This is laughable. We shouldn't have a president again and all powers given to the president should return to the governors.

You know insincerity once you see a response as yours.

Evil persists despite all these rantings both offline and online.

The last mumu....a fool that would have used this opportunity to write his name in gold is dancing with pigs. Upon leaving office his eyes will open like others.
Why are our politicians so scared of dignity..
I refer to him as the most stupid nawa man.

Nigeria will improve when citizens focus more on their governors than always blaming the president.
I swear, I keep telling ipobs about this, fg for sure is messing up but the oga kpatakpata of them all is the state governors, if they decide to be useless forget that state just like abia state.

Yet, Abia State is the dirtiest space on earth. Even the slums of Mumbai are cleaner than Abia communities. No infrastructure. No salaries. NOTHING.

But let's blame Buhari and Fulani people.
Tell me your state and let's see how clean it's ...
You will now claim to be a Lagosian..

Your comment shows insincerity. Are the governors the cause of insecurity in Nigeria or the president not fulfilling his duties? Are the governors the cause of high exchange rate or increase in price of foodstuffs? Are the governors the cause of marginalisation where only the Northerners are seen as been qualified for major positions in the country? Are the governors the cause of herdsmen being important than the farmers who produce the foods we eat? The health and education sector (most especially our Federal higher institutions) are nothing to boast of again, are these the fault of the governors or the president who prefers to save his health with the Country's resources but fail to use same resources for the health of the masses? Nigeria will improve when we focus more on the President and blame him for not fulfilling his constitutional duties while we also blame the governors when they are not performing?
it is obvious you only read my comment to reply....let me rephrase...check this particular news....Are you saying that it is the fault of the president for a governor to spend more than the total IGR of his state just for his own upkeep?....

don't go off topic...

that is the basis for my comment

Well said, but I think we will improve faster if we start from Ward Councillors, Local Government Chairmen and reps at the federal and state level.

There is NO state in this country that is dirtier than Abia. None! You guys can continue fooling yourselves. You have a warped sense of importance, yet the entire Southeast looks like a wasteland. That's why y'all can't live in your states. You call Hausas cows and Yorubas slaves, yet you are in every village in Kano, Kaduna, Lagos, Ibadan, Osogbo, etc. undisturbed.

Awon ashierey!!!

Only that one, if you are driving from Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State to Abia State. Once you enter Abia State, the difference is like coming from Morroco to South Sudan. That state stinks

This is rather distressing news....
The outright truancy demonstrated.
The lack of fiscal control apparent, is frightening.

Having a governance board or website where whistle blowers recount all the escapades of all lawgivers from local government councillors to state assembly members all through to governors and Red and Green chamber chaps to the Presidency.

On a weekly basis, there's a tally count of good vs bad deeds... Verified independently and democratically..... A score board of sorts.

. Just maybe the visibility of such a board, may induce some shame in these people.
