This wouldn't change the fact that Naira is a fuckkked up currency and it wouldnt make 1 naira equal 1 dollar . Due to our appetite for foreign goods and services..and our low productivity. We import almost everything we consume from tooth pick to matches, leather products, electronics, vehicles, food. You name it you wl be correct.

It appears that this e-naira wallet plan is not about improving the economy, but about the federal government having total control of everybody's finances.

This is a ploy to phase out cash in Naira. The federal government, through the CBN, could decide to block any person's e-naira wallet for any reason or even for no reason. The victim would not be able to back up his finances with cash. This is a very dangerous situation.

I believe it is a way to conveniently control and monitor our finances. With e-naira directly under the supervision of CBN, they will no longer need to ask any bank to know both your transcations` in and outflows. If you know, you know.

I live in Owerri,

Rent is not very high (though more expensive than Orlu)
We get almost 24 hours of electricity (there is light as I'm typing this, and they last took it yesterday. The light has not blinked for more than 8 hours now, in fact, I don't have a generator)
