@op, going to watch EPL,Champions league etc at a public viewing can not be over emphazied ! I have once fallen of my seat. due to laughter where i was listening to some dumb argument. It couldn't be better! Viewing center ROCKS!

Viewing centre is fun but I prefer watching at home in the comfort of my parlour. But I must confess, the few times I've gone to watch football at viewing centres, it's always been fun and full of excitement.

pro01: I don't know what you mean by 'viewing centres', but I always watch my matches in bars/lounges where I can enjoy a few bottles of beer while watching the game alongside fellow football enthusiasts. It's incredible fun, with different kinds of people spewing different comments. I love it when supporters of a team start leaving a bar in annoyance when their team is being battered (e.g. Man U's 8 - 2 wallop of Arsenal). . .and the winning team's supporters would spontaneously start singing and clapping "dem don dey go, one by one; dem don dey go, one by one. . ." Lol. Pure fun, I tell you. Watching football at home sucks.
Seconded!!!

Don't know what a viewing center is, but it's always more fun to watch a game with a bunch of people. Whether it's UTD playing or a team I really hate such as Barca, when I get together with friends, and friends of friends maybe in pubs; it's always more fun.

Yours GEJ,:
haha...i never miss going to viewing centres whenever I can. I was at one during a game and this Man U fan behind me kept arguing that he had watched a game where the ball possession was 80-30 (not 70-30 ooo) in favour of Man U. Everything people tried to make him see that 80-30 meant 110% proved futile and everyone gave up.
Possession 80 - 30 grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Viewing centres are the bomb!!! The nicknames given to footballers are just funny. When your team is winning, you'll definitely feel the joy with other fans of the same team also teasing the fans of the losing team. But the same goes when your team is losing. There's just much fun in watching matches at viewing centres.

I enjoy watching matches at home because I kinda like quite environment,my smart card was behaving funny one after so I just switched off the TV set and the DSTV then stormed one of the viewing centers nearby and since then I have not look back despite always having my DSTV bills settle at the beginning of every month.
Its the best experience and afford you the opportunity to rub shoulders with natural people and not those forming big boys.

I also enjoy the grammatical blunders of some dudes who come to watch matches in bars/lounges. A particularly common expression you'd hear often (especially from the NAHCO clearing/forwarding 'big boys' in my area) is "I'm a Shelsee fans". Haba. Bros, how only you go be fans? Not to mention dudes that say "penarity" in this day and age! It's always so much fun chilling with these passionate dudes. Lol. They also tend to be quite generous when their team is winning, ordering rounds of free booze for anyone in sight.

You guys have said it all. What else can I say? Should Baba God bless me tomorrow and I can afford ten DSTVs, I will still go to viewing centres to watch matches especially the derbies in England and the el classicos in Spain.

Re: Is Watching Matches At Viewing Centres Fun Filled? by duality(m): 6:33pm On Apr 16, 2012
its simply because people can not afford the exorbitant price charged for dstv premium. even when you you manage to pay, no light/ power to watch the match. thats the reason why viewing centers have this hip. who will go to viewing centers if the price of viewing it at home was cheap. imagine going to viewing center and your handset is stolen at night or boko haram decides to strike. those days when we didn't have tv we usually go to our friends houses to watch; but wen we had ours we stopped that. let dstv make premium subscription 2000 naira and tell me who will go to viewing center. if i may ask do you go you neighbors house to watch 9.00 o clock new? the ansewer is NO.
