We are building one towards Nigerien town close to the border. Yes or No? You leave PH, Onitsha, Warri, Benin, Ondo, Akure, and Abia to borrow and build towards another country's commercial town and think until you cross the border is when we should regard you as building for them. Illiterate bigot.

In Nigerian elections, it's difficult to defeat an incumbent govt.

Difficult but not impossible, as we saw in the 2015 presidential election and several governorship elections since 2003. Just a lot of work.

Moghalu is still praising that failed government? Not all of us suffer dementia and not all of us were so young not to tell black from white.

First, dollar wasn't stabled at $150.. It crossed to over $200+.
And most importantly is the fact that it ess your boss, Sanusi, that publicly exposed the heinous corruption that the FG of then were using CBN to carry out.

Moghalu should sit back and hope for a governorship seat.
All these pathetic stories and pseudo solution can only appease the wailers but it won't earn him a presidential ticket with a notable party.

Modified Stupidity and and hypocrisy is when you choose Jonathan's $150 official rate to compare $570 black market under Buhari
As per stability of dollars, commodity price Jonathan govt was a success but this Apc govt is something else

I’ve been following this Kingley Moghalu for some time now and I must say he’s the kind of visionary leaders we need in Nigeria today.

You missed the point.

Whether or not the Jonathan administration was brazenly corrupt, he did not meddle in the affairs of the CBN. He was not dictating forex policy like Buhari. That's what's ruining the exchange rate today.

Yes, Jonathan government was corrupt but did not meddle.

Buhari is a man of integrity but sadly, he's meddling and worse, the CBN governor rather than tell him off has been timid to assert his independence.

Why can't Buhari bring people like this into his government to assist him?

They had high oil prices, which Moghalu admitted was helpful.

But Buhari never had such a luxury.

This problem did not happen because Buhari became president, it happened because of years of lack of purpose.

First of all, the multiplicity of exchange rates would deter foreign investors, as this multiplicity is an evidence of a lack of transparency.

Then, most importantly, we have struggled to meet balance of trade since the 80s, as we have gradually become more import-reliant, while producing little to nothing. Our major export, crude oil, accounts for close to 100% of all our exports, and it has not done well in the market at all.

Saving the Naira is not a day's job, because years of inactivity and mismanagement is what the Naira is suffering for today.

How can you say something like this simply because Moghalu gave an opinion?

Who told you that Buhari is dictating forex policy?

Did you not read that the major aim of government and CBN is to remove the multiplicity of exchange rates, since it has become a condition that Nigeria must meet before she can access major foreign loans.

Dictating forex policy (if that is how you see it simply because Moghalu said it) has nothing to do with the Naira free flowing to market forces.

There are many factors to blame for why the Naira is struggling today, and many of these factors are a result of years of maladministration and purposeless leadership.

Moghalu does not have to say a word. I wrote off the economy the second Buhari fixed the exchange rate at 196 or it is 197 upon the assumption of office in 2015

Prior to his assumption, the country had a flexible exchange rate. The about turn upon Buhari's assumption was not coincidental. It's the nonsense he did from 1983-1985.

Prior to PMB assumption, the country had only one exchange rate but now has multiple exchange rates. It reeks of economic illiteracy which Buhari is notorious for

Look, I don't hate Buhari. I'm even political. I don't even vote. But if I was to vote in 2015,it would have been for Buhari.

Integrity does not equate to competence. Well meaning does not equate to competence.

It is better to have a corrupt leader who says 1+1=2 than to have an incorruptible one who says 1+1=3. Buhari might be honest, but he's the most inept of the presidents since the return of democracy in 1999.

Men of integrity such as Kenneth Kaunda and Julius Nyerere ruined the economies of their countries by implementing redundant policies.
Buhari is surg following their footsteps

The only thing that they used to defend the naira back then was oil money which averaged $100pb, forget the rest, na useless grammar.

Keep on using this oil price as excuse.
A year before GEJ handed over, oil was sold below $70 per barrel. Today it’s sold for $75 per barrel, so what’s your excuse?

And perhaps you forgot GMB promised to diversify the economy, so again what’s your excuse?

No one will bring a useless idiot like moghalu who betrayed SLS just to be CBN Governor thus supporting the most dangerous pilfering of Nigeria's resources in the history of stealing resources. Nigeria does not need mediocre idiots who lived most of their lives in the US as mediocre and don't really believe in Nigeria, only to start forming superman so as to come and live that life.

But Nigeria needs GMB who treats the slightest headache in UK, sent all his kids abroad to study, and opened a Dubai office for the First Lady.

That’s zombies definition of believing in Nigeria.

Ogbeni you are off point. Even if the dollars was 300 during GEJ was it not better than the 570 per dollar we have now?
Before the end of the year we are heading to 700 per doll.. the present govt has lost grip on the economy, security and the likes.. no competent hands to handle the country because the head of the govt. Is a slowpoke.. who does not know his right from left.. all he knows is to go and borrow money to fund train linking his family in Niger to Nigeria.. whereas we have potential routes within the country that no single train route pass through...
We need to think out of the box..
The present handlers of the country a scam..

Are you mad?? I ask you again are you sure you are not mad??

I remember when the dollar was at N160 for a long while. I remember things were more stable than the calamity we have right now in Nigeria under the lifeless vegetable in Aso Rock. The dollar today is at 575, already on its way to 600. By 2023, it should have hit 1000 Naira.

So I ask you again, are you mad

The God that would punish you for defending ineptitude and corruption ennn!!

do you also remember oil price then?
