Hello good morning. Starting this journey today, seen a few testimonies here and there and I’m pumped. My first Japa question goes like this

Please pardon my ignorance

“Can I use school to get admission and move to the USA or UK and then not go to school BUT live and work in the USA?”

I’m asking this basically because of funds, I’m not so financially buoyant to afford tuition fees.

VISA
APPROVED GUYS! Spring 2022

Date: 21st September 2021
Location: Abuja

My first time going to the US Embassy but this forum has been instrumental to my practice and information, so I had to just post mine for others to see.

I was interviewed by a white woman.
VO: Good morning, pass me your documents.
ME: Good morning. Sorry before we start, I stutter a bit but I will be fluent as possible
VO: No problem
VO: I can see you are going to Texas A&M University
ME: Yes, that's right
VO: For masters in Engineering?
ME: Masters in Industrial Engineering.(I corrected her immediately)
VO: Okay
VO: What do you do?
ME: I work at an Engineering firm in Lagos as a Technical Officer.
VO: What will you be doing after your study?
ME: I will definitely be coming back to Nigeria to continue working at my current company as I have an offer of a managerial role upon my return.
VO: I can see you work at XXXXXXXX
ME: Yes (I repeated the company name)
VO: What do they do?
ME: They are into fabrication of tanks, water and sewage treatment systems
VO: Give me an approximate staff strength of the company
ME: We have two Offices. One in Lagos and other in Ibadan with an approximate of 60 staff in total.
VO: who is sponsoring your study?
ME: My Uncle will be sponsoring me, he has been sponsoring my education as a child.
VO: What does he do?
ME: He is a medical doctor and he owns two hospitals, one in Lagos and other in Ogun state.
VO: Is he in Nigeria?
ME: Yes he is (He actually just returned from the US so my response was a bit shaky).
VO: Ok, I will be approving your visa......... (I always read on here that people stops hearing what the VO is saying about Covid at this point) I literally didn't hear anything as well, different thoughts and emotions all at once.

I collected my white paper and in two days my passport was in Lagos.

It was just God, that's all I can say!

Congratulations…please how did you get an early interview date for spring admission, I have spring admission too and we are unable to get a close interview date, my school resumes January 2022

My initial admission was for FALL 2021 but after using my emergency option for Fall in August, I still couldnt get earlier date before resumption so I deferred my admission to spring the picked September using my emergency date options.

Congratulations to you. I tap into this.

If you don’t mind, what’s the start date for the Spring 2022 at Texas A&M?

I also got admission for Spring 2022 and just wondering when the exact resumption sedate is. I’m yet to get my I-20.

Thanks in advance for your response.

The best time to check for dates is midnight or early morning guys… trust me… i was too fast picking September 2022 the other time now i check dates in the night and see Feb, March and April 2022. If you still have time before resumption.. pls take your time and Dont rush to pick date… i think that’s my advise for people just starting their applications or haven’t gotten to this stage.

P.s - i switched from Lagos to Abuja when they said dates were available and couldn’t get any… reason why i said everyone should take their time with these things. Good luck to us all. Shalom

Good morning house, am new here. I want to apply for my PHD in Texas A and M school. I wrote GRE last year but GRE is waived for 2021 and 2022 admission. My questions:
1. Should I still send my GRE result to them
2. My sponsor which happens to be my uncle lives in US, is it advisable for me to use him
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Elnon: 11:05am On Sep 26, 2021
Typical Nigerian mindset…Always wishing to cut corners hence why our society is messed up.

Answer to your question- It’s not allowed and if you’re caught on student visa working and not enrolled in school, you will be deported ASAP.

I really don’t get this….Can’t use a personal email to login to the school portal and fill the I-20 request form na

There is nothing like payment for mailing i20, the web master is a thief, but with the look of things you will have to pay and change your email with the US school. Using your uni email doesn’t make sense at all,Use a personal on

Thank you for your honest response. I understand the issues of that country and I don’t intend to be party to anything illegal. Best believe my question came from a place of ignorance.
Like I said, I started this journey today and coming here obviously shows I want to migrate the right and just way. Thank you for your response and I’ll ask one more question kind sir.

What steps should I take to migrate to the USA? I just finished school, self employed and willing to further my education.

It's simple, since you Wana migrate why waste your time following the stressful students route, apply for B1B2 and explain to the VO that you have no plans of coming back, they're normally considerate and who knows, He/she might see reasons with you, good luck Man!!

I was on the queue and when I heard associate degree, I was telling myself they won’t give this girl, but you were so bold, vocal and so so confident that along the line I started telling myself that this girl might just get it. And you did. People at my back just said ‘wow’

It's normal, just tap the "save" button very often, while filling your DS-160 form. Take note of your confirmation no. (When you start the application), so you can retrieve and continue your application when there's a session timeout.
