The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ikoyi Passport Office, Lagos, says 3,000 passports are ready for collection.

Ibrahim Liman, the Passport Control Officer (PCO), confirmed the figure to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday.

Mr Liman said the office had put calls to applicants whose passports were ready for collection.

To meet applicants demand, the passport office said it had extended its working days to include Saturdays and Sundays.

Mr Liman, however, said the need for discreet investigation to determine the eligibility of applicants might delay the timely release of the passports.

“The Ikoyi Passport Office is fully committed to efficient service delivery and it will not relent in justifying its operational mandate.

“As the PCO of Ikoyi, I will always work with integrity. I don’t have anything to hide, the office operates an open door policy,” he stated.

Mr Liman warned racketeers to desist from their acts or face the consequences.

“NIS would not hesitate to discipline anyone found to be involved in defrauding or shortchanging any applicants.’’

I'm at Ikoyi passport office. The entrance to the PCO's office is now under lock and key. The security man has instructions as regards who to open for. I'm literally just waiting for the PCO to come out of his office so I can plead my case.

So sorry for the late reply. It was really stressful for me but I captured same day cos I waited till 6pm when they closed and I begged a very top Officer there. He ordered a guy top switch on his computer and capture me. The key is coming very early. Try getting there before 8 am

I submitted my documents @ Alausa for a fresh application last week Monday but I am yet to receive any SMS for data capturing. Does the message take time to drop or what should I do?

I started my passport renewal at about 5th of September. The process was suppose to be fast track and my contact promised 3 working days. I did capturing same day of 5th.

There was an issue with how my name was arranged in my NIMC and previous passport but I wanted the renewal to carry the correct format in NIMC.

However I am yet to get the passport. My contact is telling me there is a "network problem" with NIMC affecting the production this according to him stated about a week ago.

Can anyone confirm if indeed there is a problem with NIMC network affecting passport issuance in the last couple of weeks?

Got my passport today. Stated the process on 6th if this month. Once capture same day got the passport this afternoon.

minor needs data page of both parents intl ppt and nin of one parent to get a ppt in Abuja, Lagos and ph.. minor also needs own NIN even if 1 hour old baby.. check the site for the rest of the documents or read this thread.. dnt know the requiremnts for other states
