Craziest thing happened to my brother last Friday. He was kidnapped at gun point on his way to work, In Lagos o. I got a call by 7:00 am from him with strange men asking to pay ransom to them or they will kill him. At this point I’m hearing my brother yelling from the beating

while they put Robb( Menthol gel) in his eyes. People need to know how unsafe The country is, it keeps getting worse. My Lil brother did not deserve that, he’s literally one of the best people I ever met, way better than me.

These men had Ak47s and pull up on him in a sienna. Put my bro in a hospital for an entire day, over what? They still stole his phone, laptop and shoes. Why beat the living daylight out of him? Imagine the first call you get in the morning is from strange men speaking with you through your brothers phone, telling you they are taking your brother to Kaduna from lagos and they will kill him if I don’t send them the money they’re asking for. I’m in Abuja btw and not even in Lagos. I nearly died too cuz after that demand they turned the phone l off.

I couldn’t go to work or think. I was useless that morning. That boy is too innocent for this experience and it will never be well with those 5 men for scarring my bro mentally and physically.

Anyway I thank God for his life. He escaped alive, This is a big testimony for my fam.

So sorry about your brother's experience. I wish him quick recovery, physically and mentally.

This things are very common here in Lagos. One guy with suit and tie was found dead as early as 5:30am in my area earlier this year. He was stabbed to death because he had a physical battle with the robbers that wanted to steal his Android phone. Too bad.
We need to be smarter and more conscious of our movements most especially here in Lag. When I'm going to work now, I were shorts like I am going to the market. I just change my clothes at the office. If you work on the Island, you must have experienced robberies on so many occasions. This country is really unsafe. God help us.

This insecurity go reach everybody las las.

@OP thank God for your testimony

@everyone pray you're not next cos you can lie to yourself but e go clear una one day, I pray it doesn't but the situation is bad, too bad

Jaqenhghar:

If you explain these things some people will tell you that having money will solve all these. They wil say make money
Even The protection of money is fast eroding. Money will protect you from regular Nigeria stress, insecurity don morph into something else entirely, in fact your risk of kidnapping or dying by police significantly increases just by looking like you have money. It's crazy out here

May God continue to guide and protect our ways, both going and coming. The kidnappers are within the environ, they just want it to look like they came afar.

The way things are panning out in this country ehnn, na to pack go the next street.

But on a serious note, thank God your brother's life was spared.

Advice: we need to be very security conscious in every thing we do, and places we go to, Plus commit your movement to God before stepping out every morning.

IT IS WELL !!!

Men....we are truly living in evil times!!! I get scared for my kids growing up in this country...Government should give us the right to bear arms so that we can defend ourselves. Am really happy for your brother that he walked away with his life. Always pray before you leave your home. May God protect us all..

This country don spoil....

Small time we go carry gun for our bag for self defense...

Soon when the children wants to go school we go put gun or matchet for their lunch box...

This I have seen.

Thank God he escaped. No where in the country is safe. It is only by the grace of God that some of us have survived this far.

If you look deep, there's hardly one family in present day Nigeria who hasn't had a fair share of the menace.

Things would get worse if leaders continue to handle matters with kid gloves.

May God save us all.

See how the country has been bastardised beyond redemption...

Insecurity everywhere
No Jobs

I fear for Generations yet unborn.

I pray the don't curse our Generation for watching things degenerate like this.
