This shiit happened to a friend last month. She alongside another babe boarded a Siena from Iyana Oworo in Lagos going to VI but this men took a detour to Oshodi Apapa road then to Ikorodu road. All this while, the were beating her and threatening to rape her while taking stuff from her bag. Thankfully, she looked like a student and had her Unilag post-grad student ID in her bag but they couldn't tell the difference. They took her phone, jewelries, money and every small thing they could lay their hands on. They finally put Aboniki in her eyes and let her go.

The other babe wasnt so lucky. She looked like a professional and continued to get beaten and taken off after my friend was dropped off. We dont know what became of her. As for my friend, she was incapacitated for 2 days and became afraid to take public transports to work. Wicked people!

I'm guessing this happened within the Ikeja-Ogba axis, there's been a particular gang using Siena to rob in that area for years...and they are probably policemen too.

Has Nigeria even been this bad? Even during military era?

It will only get better if we give the ultimate penalty to kidnappers, armed robbers and ritualists. And we give a thorough media coverage on their executions. Public executions if possible. Then half of those who are into it will think twice on the consequences of their crimes and do something else. The reason why you will go to Saudi Arabia and not commit adultery is not because of your conscience. It is because of the strength of their legal system. One fuckup and you could spend your life in jail or get flogged like afool

Men....we are truly living in evil times!!! I get scared for my kids growing up in this country...Government should give us the right to bear arms so that we can defend ourselves. Am really happy for your brother that he walked away with his life. Always pray before you leave your home. May God protect us all..

Sienna buses are now used for robbery and one chance in Lagos. It's best to avoid it for now especially in the Morning.
Op should have told us which location in Lagos the incident happened

We need to be security concious, early mornings are equally as dangerous as night,do not board just any vehicle you you see on the early mornings especially and possibly have someone you can be commuting together in your area,if possible, stay indoors till the day is clear

One rule I've learnt is not to board Sienna early in morning because most are used to rob people especially those going to work from mainland to the island . Two cases happened to people I know who were robbed in the vehicle they boarded to work, both were Sienna.

I specifically warned the second person when he got a job on the island and he comes from the mainland that Sienna should be out of his checklist to board. He boarded a Sienna the second day of resumption and subsequently robbed and seriously injured, couldn't resume physically until a month after.

PS: There's high suspicion that these crimes especially the second one I know are done by police especially those ex SARS that can't be on the street any longer

What is your hope and assurance in this country as a commo citizen? Its a time that the next generation will remember but I pray all these even is not written off the history corridor of Nigeria. United States of America once lived without electricity.

What made it hogwash I ask. Even when other forum members narrated similar experiences, you and your ilk will still find a way to discredit to it. Truth is that due to extreme poverty in Nigeria currently, there's being an increase in crime rate with the stupid slogan: any way is a way.

It is men of the defunct SARS and Anti Kidnapping unit that are doing this.

They want to hype insecurity in the South so they can be returned back to the road.

You guys will see that if these people doing this should be caught, they'd be from the police force.

Their Ogas in Abuja want them to return so they can be extorting people of millions and be paying them kickbacks.

This is a subtle declaration of war on the people by the police.

This I can bet with my life is what is going on.
