You employment is not guaranteed on the basis that you were fit at the time of employment, it is predicated on you remaining fit. No employer wants to take on the liability of an unhealthy employee indefinitely, that's why they have set number of days within which you can claim illness per year and a time limit within which you can be off work on hospital admission.

No drug manufacturer indemnifies you for taking their drug, it is absurd to make such a demand.
