tola1006: NDA was attacked and a major general killed. A former senator's son was killed in Kaduna. These things happen every now and then, because it has not happened to you doesn't invalidate the other person's story. |

Never leave your home to any yeye work by 4 till it's 6:30 am cuz the days are evil And don't enter buses that that is not branded the usual yellow paint and has like 6 to 7 passengers in it. Don't jump into a private car just because you want to save cost because many have gone, be careful. 4 Likes |

This shit is becoming rampant, last 3weeks also, a colleague of mine was also robbed, beaten blue- black by some men in a Sienna bus, he was on his way to work from Kola-alagbado area to V.I, according to him they were 4 in numbers, they collected his ATM card, one went with it to withdraw while the rest putted gun at him to start telling them them his pin, withdraw some funds and later transfer the rest to an account, after that they continue beating him and rub Aboniki in his eyes and dropped him off somewhere around command road. This shit is becoming scary.. 3 Likes |

This is why I was telling sane Nigerians to leave that country if they have money, since the government have refused to do anything tangible about security, leave the goddamned shíthole |

News like this makes one sad. There are cases brought before us that we can't solve due to restrictions on our terms of agreement with the security structure of Nigeria. One fact Nigerians must know is that there are at the mercy of criminal elements and it's only the wealthy with money that pay for sophisticated form of security. Our threat surveillance operations have significantly gone up in places like abuja and lagos. This is because there have been deep infiltration of terror elements running away from the military onslaught up north. How prepared the local intelligence and security agencies are is something we can't asertain. Part of our operations as private operators is to function as an auxiliary to the national security and intelligence agencies, so we would continue to do our best in passing on information. 2 Likes |

decrownprince: Your position is fairly right. Those that haven't undergone rigorous training as security personal won't have that heightened security awareness senses. When it comes to been put up with a gun it's an entirely different experience and feeling. it's for this reason we always tell ordinary citizens to never argue or struggle with an armed person. Your best form of defense is to act a coward so that you live to fight another day. The major difference between an ordinary citizen and a trained security operatives is to discern activities within the environment constantly. Then the ability to constantly weigh decisions in order to choose the one that favors them. For example information I give ladies in security awareness is that never enter a random vehicle when it's raining. This is the most dangerous thing a lady can do because you can be openly battered and robbed and no one would come to your aid. This is because the rain acts as a cover due to sound restrictions and restrictions of movement. So ladies should always wait till the rain goes down, your work is no way important than your life. 2 Likes 1 Share |

erniok: There is unprecedented insecurity in the land.I am not a stoicist in anyway ,I agree but we do not need falacies or half truths to paint our situation as hapless or the worst in the world.....the OP refused to give proper details on what happened....one chance robberies and kidnappings are not same....this for me makes the story unbelievable and the poster just made it up.....I dwell on facts |

This is a regular occurrence around U turn, Awori, Abule Egba bus stop. Same Seinna, same 5 men gang. At U turn bus stop, over 10 cases that we have heard of. If you don't have money in your account, you will be asked to call and ask for transfer, otherwise they will threaten to kill you. They usually drop them off around Olaniyi or Ekoro road after they would have been seriously brutalized within that short distance. You will meet four in the Seinna already at U turn, then the 5th will join at Awori pretending to be passenger. This usually occur between 5am - 5:30am. The most recent occurred just last week Wednesday. Each case reports to the Police and the police can see the identical pattern, still, nothing has been done or their effort hasn't yielded result so far. 5 Likes 1 Share |

I entered Lagos on the 30th of June this year, and I personally experienced that devilish act on the 5th of July on my way to VI from Newcastle in Anthony. It was more or less a 'welcome to Lagos', but that experience was a traumatic one. I've been living with that trauma till date. How can a sane person apply Aboniki to his fellow man's delicate eyes. They were kind enough not to beat me, but I experienced hell. 4 Likes 1 Share |
