Good thing she sued. The ruling from this case would be used as a precedent for similar cases. I really hope the ruling would be in her favour.

I hope it's practicable.
It called ganishee absolute.
Any assets, bank accounts will be seized under order of the court. All you have to do is eg look for banks, home and abroad where eg efcc has accounts. Do your underground work and get acct number.
Once you get ganishee, that account will be blocked and money taken out to pay you.

Eferi Werey grin I think this is the way to go, but my fear is that... because of the kind of country we live in, where uncivilised brigands brandish themselves in the corridors of power, the case may backfire and even if the playground courts award her that sum, nobody will enforce the payment.
when you hear that Nigeria is in debt, this is part of the reasons. Just stick to the judgment. If they don’t pay today, they must pay in future.

you go bend in future because they must definitely pay. The judgement will be documented and remains valid by law

Una go sue tire, am waiting for the day EFCC, Police, DSS or Army will pay all these money.

Oga, they pay those money actually. If they don't, the court will order they their bosses be arrested for contempt of judgement. They fear those arrest like mad.. most times, they just appeal those judgements and 80% of the time, they still loose.

I expected it to come to this. In fact, I'd have been mad at her if she didn't sue the EFCC.

The building that was raided by the EFCC has other apartments that are occupied by a Lawyer and another medical doctor. Those two also had their little share of intimidation from the EFCC.

Na there I know say the team don complete. A lawyer, a journalist and a doctor. Ẹ don be for EFCC.

Hotels and homeowners should learn to follow suit. EFCC needs to stop acting like armed robbers.

They can actually raid with a warrant. When it is a wrong or invalid raid then there cud be issues.

Yes they can, question is are they? And if they raid with a warrant they will only go to that specific room apprehend the person and leave. Not room to room like armed robbers.

If they don’t know the specific room they may check multiple. Aslong as they have the intelligence report.

Hotels should ensure they don’t habour criminals to avoid embarrassment to their guests since it’s becoming a trend.

No, they can’t go room to room if they have credible intelligence report, when FBI want to bust your apartment they come prepared take your and leave without disturbing other occupants in the block! It’s not a guess work! They don’t check your room and if you’re not there they start breaking down your neighbors doors, no! They make sure you’re home come there and take you simple!

Secondly how do you know a criminal when you see one? By looks? Your last statement sounds so unintelligent. The worse criminals dress very responsibly if you don’t know, it’s one thing to own a hotel and it’s another thing to employ an FBI receptionist who starts checking your personal stuff. People will get offended and leave and your business suffers.

At ur last paragraph when Smtn has become a trend u obviously see the signs over time and can tell. That’s what I mean.

Like if drug dealing becomes a trend u can easily spot a drug dealer based on certain movements and signs.
