"when you see a star falling from the sky means a prominent man will die in the community"
I woke up very early one day and I saw like six stars fell from the sky, I counted the prominent men in my community back then and the numbers I got wasn't up to the number of the Stars.

That there's a white man who's a god and lives in the sky, that sent his son to die for humans so he can forgive them for his own mistakes and take them into his so called paradise which looks like an ancient city.

Drinking coconut water makes one dull.
Nigeria vs India football match.

If u eat from pot as a boy, just know u ain't getting any wife.

If u sit at the middle of the door, you gonna have stomach ache (till today my granny don't want to know am a Christian and have grown pass that thing. U need to sss how she looks at me anytime she sight me sitting and enjoying fresh air and reading Slawormiir's comments on nairaland) cheesy

That is if curriculum are changed. Current curriculum produces workers not Job creators and business moguls

A friend of mine had first class in Electrical Engineering but earning 40k monthly

I had a strong result too and always broke even while working as a Lecturer until I re-educate myself, start a business and use other skills I have but didn't learn in sch
I graduated with a CGPA of 4.39.

But that's not what i mean, what I am saying is that school teaches u perseverance, there was a time when every graduate felt the urge to quit, mostly during their final year. In real life, u will feel that same urge, u just get to keep pushing just like u did in school.

In school we all had our capital(Year one CGPA), we the build our strong and final year CGPA on that, some had GPA of 2.1, some started with 4.5 and had to build on it. In real life u will have ur first capital, it could be 20k, 1m or just 5k, u have to build on that too.

In school, those that graduated with 4.0-5.0 worked very hard for it, had sleepless nights, neglected their health just to get there. In real life, those successful men build their wealth thesame way, they worked very hard to get to where they are.

In school, those that sort hardly graduate with a 2.1 or first class, in real life those that follows the window aren't really successful, the Yahoo boys are the people who sort in real life.

Every lecturer u meet, those that hurt u, those that gave fatherly advice, those that don't want to see u, u will meet them with different genetic makeup.

In school, if ur close friend cover book for exam, e go pain u pass when a total stranger does it. In real life when ur friends hurt u, u will feel it more.

School teaches that group reading is good, in life u will need friends and team members.

School education doesn't guarantee job but survival, all u had to do is application of knowledge. Thanks

Not my parents but grannies and uncles and cousins:

1. Eclipses are caused by malevolent forces

2. Ghosts and demons and spirits are real

3. Witchcraft

4. Talismans and other charms that can make someone invulnerable to guns and knives, and to disappear

5. People changing to animal forms

6. Babies should not be tossed around after 6pm

7. Don't sweep with a broom at dusk

8. Consuming too much stews and soups will make your butt bigger

9. Mermaids and mermen

10. Masturbating makes you blind

11. Curses

12. Dogs can see ghosts and spirits

13. Sleep paralysis was caused by demons

14. People can communicate with the dead

15. That souls are real and leave the body after death

16. Nonsensical herbal concoctions to cure illnesses and even protect from harm

17. That money is evil.

2.You'll have nightmares if you look in the mirror at night.
3.If you don't throw your lost tooth on the roof, it won't grow back.

and local man swallowed all these superstitions hook, line and sinker back in the days.
You see that number three, I dey always close my eyes and throw the tooth up to the roof.
One day while eating yam with a shaky tooth, I mistakenly swallowed the tooth with the yam. I thought the tooth will grow piercing through my head.

As a child you must not use knife to eat. Or else, you will develop or grow bad teeth.
It was later I realised they said so because a child can injure himself while using knife

This was the purpose of superstitions, to make people desist from doing certain things. Some of us don't out grow them and continue to believe them as adults.
