Hello everyone,I need help,my passport is expired,I want to renew it,but the last I did it,I was single,now I am married,I don't have a marriage certificate,will still do court marriage next yr,I need the passport to start my Canadian express visa, do I still include single while applying for renewal since I don't have a marriage certificate now?or married,will I be asked to present the certificate,will it be an issue?
Also,I want to get for my son,my passport is expired,can I still do it? I read here where someone wrote that you will need the data page of both parents to apply for a mino
is NIN a requirement for getting passport for my son?

In my opinion, You should fill in married; you should be able to get a marriage certificate from your local government, afterrall, you were married.. What kind of marriage did you do? is it customary or church marriage?, I honestly feel you should be able to get marriage certificate in your local government registery ; they may ask you for money sha.

Got my passport today. Stated the process on 6th if this month. Once capture same day got the passport this afternoon.

Not DIY o. I knew someone who knew someone

On the capture slip, there is a date for receiving the passport. Is it advisable, I go to Abeokuta on that day to ask for my passport.
I captured on September 16. The date for on the slip said 28th September.
Or what do you advise I do.

Since June 28 I captured, my passport (32 pages) not still ready I even tried checking my application status online today but the response I was getting repeatedly was “Application Not Found” and I checked the same portal eailer last month it took me to my passport status but now it saying “Application Not Found”

Is anyone experiencing the same problem/delay?

One month after my capturing at the new immigration office, Ilorin and I'm yet to get anything tangible as regards if the passport is ready or not. I'm thinking of going there to check myself around the first/second week of October, fair enough?

This isn't a matter of I believe or not. I was there this morning to make moves on how to change from 32 to 64 pages for my kids. My contact still emphasized that 32 pages will only be available from Jan.

I think some people have had success messaging on facebook and providing their enrollment number. Maybe you can try this.

You can try sending a message on Facebook to ask. Some people have had success with that.
Also if you don't live far away you can physically check. You may be lucky.

Hi, i got a call from Ikoyi passport office that my passport is ready and that I should come straight to PCO’s office. I captured since July 19th. It’s DIY too and I didn’t bother to check the status since I don’t need it anytime soon.

Please, does anyone know if passport can be picked up by proxy or sent via dispatch? If yes, what’s the process like? Thank you.

Ohhhh probably have been called on my other line, I no longer have access to the phone number I used for registration.

Same here it still around December I’ll be needing the passport reason why I applied early

I experienced same. Send me a text I will give you someone's number he dropped it within two days without asking for anything though I compensated him. Cos those immigration officer will charge u exorbitantly if you ask them to do it

What's d collection date?

So the recent exposé by the investigative journalist, David H. probably amplified the plights of most folks with their passports stuck in Ikoyi office. The immigration officer this morning at Ikoyi while announcing names for collection stated that those who got calls/text will go to the taskforce office to pickup their own passports (no reason stated for this). Apparently, NIS sent in a taskforce to assist clear the backlog in the office and this should be done soon. How soon, no one knows. At least the decent news is people are getting calls and text to pickup. Mine has been on status E since the beginning of the month.
