This afternoon, I will inaugurate the 25km Uyo-Ikot Ekpene road. It is furnished with digital street lights and links the 7 Local Government Areas of Uyo, Itu, Ibiono, Ikono, Abak, Essien Udim and Ikot Ekpene.

The road comes with two major roundabouts and is a major gateway from other parts of the country. It is one of the fine projects initiated by my predecessor and from the 20% completion level we met it, we have taken it to the finishing point.

Wanted to say this but felt people will think I'm hating. Didn't want to rain on Akwa Iboms parade. But you do have a point. Sometimes when I look at the quality of works done by all these construction companies and the disorganized aerial view of most Nigerian cities, one can't help but let out a huge sigh. Have lived in big cities outside Nigeria and i can tell you that our politicians can do better. No big thinkers amongst them..

On your way to Uyo, once you manage to leave Umuahia after enduring the countless potholes and ditches and you enter Ikot Ekpene the difference is like day and night.

If not careful You can fall asleep behind the wheels cause the road from IK to Uyo is very smooth and wide.

Am from abia base in uyo, akwa ibom road make sense die, from that ikot ekpene to uyo, no pot hole....

Oh! I remember, even in government offices, you "grease" civil servants hands to carry out the duties they were basically employed to do.

In a so-called oil state that should be on the level of funding AI and robotic researches are still celebrating roads in the 21st century. But I mean, other fools masquerading as governors have set extremely dreadful standards, so maybe this one is something to cheer about. Who knows?

Oga even as at 2002 when I write my WAEC for inside village there in Akwa Ibom, one them get better roads for inside village oo.. na 2002 ooo

Kudos to this state Governor for this good project executed, if i am from this state I won’t bother to live in any other place in Nigeria I was opportune to visit this place once and I love it
