All the more reason why we should fight for restructuring and support governors like Wike who are demanding for fiscal federalism. I am glad that governors from the south south are United in demanding for fiscal federalism. Emergingnation: 2 Likes |

It appears Emmanuel is better than Bello. I have been thinking about the young Governors in Nigeria and I came to the conclusion that even the young Governors are as bad as the old men that are ruling us. However, from the above photograph, I am beginning to think Emmanuel Udom is better than Yahaya Bello of Kogi state. I sincerely hope that Bello and his supporters can prove me wrong by displaying good road networks constructed by their master. 2 Likes |

IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC), Eastern Obolo CLAN, EASTERN ZONE CONDEMN THE PURPORTED SHARING OF EASTERN OBOLO AND Ibeno Local Government Council LAND TO HER NEIGHBORING L.G.As AND THEIR ALLIES. A forthnight ago, the people of Eastern Obolo and Ibeno Local Government Area were gravely marginalized by the state secondary education board(sseb) in her recruitment of teachers in the state. They spoke against the marginalization and were told it was fair and marginalization was not the case by the state government. Few days after that, Eastern Obolo and Ibeno local government land is proposed to be shared to the Governor's local government and cohorts through a supposed re-mapping bill. Maybe in this case, the Governor will say his local government and cohorts needed more land and the two local government Areas(who weren't worthy of having a good number of graduates being recruited by the sseb as claimed) had too much land. Every country has her territorial intergrity, same with every component part of any country (the state and local government councils). As it is today in Nigeria, there are 774 local government area with her well defined map and unique location. Eastern obolo and ibeno local government area is one of those 774 local government Areas respectively. No local government area in the nation was created to be at the mercy of her neighboring local government area and their allies. Eastern Obolo is located in the Niger Delta fringe between Imo and Qua Iboe Rivers estuaries and lies between latitudes 4° 28' and 4° 53' and longitudes 7° 50' and 7° 55' East. Herself and Ibeno L.G.A were well mapped out by the Federal government before creation. Thus the below submissions: 1. No local government in Nigeria owes another local government even 1mm of land. 2. No tribe in Nigeria created land and thus every tribe/language in the country is important to and in the country. 3. Eastern Obolo local government and Ibeno local government does not owe Onna, Eket, Ikot Abasi, Mkpat Enin and cohorts one(1cm) of land. Consequently, the state government has no such power to share the land of any local government to another local government. 4. Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state is displaying a show of shame and should immediately stop playing the ethnic card he is playing and behave himself as the Governor of a multi-tribal state which he governs. 5. The project embarked upon to diminish/exterminate Eastern Obolo and Ibeno local government areas and to expand the boundaries of Onna, Mkpat Enin, Ikot Abasi, Eket, Esit Eket all the way down to the Atlantic ocean is illegal, inhuman, tyrannical, ethnic ridden, crisis creating and uncalled for. 6. The re-mapping project is therefore needless and an affront on the ijaw ethnic nationality in Akwa Ibom state. As Ijaw Youths together with our elders, we shall challenge this colonial/ethnic agenda of the udom led Akwa Ibom State government to any level. It is a failed project. 7. We therefore call on the entire Nigerian nation, the United Nations, every well meaning Civil and liberty organization to join us bring an end to the "ethnic cleansing" agenda of the Udom Gabriel Emannuels administration in Akwa Ibom state. The original state map and proposed (ethnic cleansing) map is displayed below. Egberifa o!! Signed: Comr. Amos Miller A.K.A De-rock (clan chairman). Maxymilliano: Akwa Ibom has lots of money from its 13% of crude oil derivation. I doubt Ogun state collects shingba. The previous governor wanted to make a massive difference but the collapse in oil prices and hence reduction in monthly allocation to states killed his dream. States need to find extremely creative ways to fund infrastructure development. One may be to provide tax holidays to investors and perhaps naming roads after those who fund them. Imagine naming a road Subomi Balogun highway! 2 Likes |

Ilaumoh:I don't really understand because this road was 90% completed by the former governor and because election is around the corner he rushed to complete it. Why didn't he complete it all this years? Anyways I heard before he came the sun was shining and immediately he arrived the rain started falling heavily then when he left sun started shining again and I believe your guess is as good as mine. The street light he's talking about is countable because is just from the park and not even up to utu talkless of getting to itak you can't find it again,Anyways I understand the Op has been heavily paid to keep deceiving the people that are not in the state for the audio work he has done in the state. |
