Something like that happened to me once.
As a photographer, I don't normally eat at people's occasion except once special cases, like if one of my crew asked me politely to eat to prove to them that they are safe.

So, there is this job I got from one of my Elders in my church (Photo and Video coverage) for his mom's burial.

Long story short, after like 6hrs of working, one of my crew members asked me for food, so I took him to where they were serving food, handed him to one of the women dishing who is also a church member while I went to get him drink at the other end.

Before I came back, my guy don dey para...so I pulled him aside and asked what the heck happened. He told me that the woman dishing food said have I not received payment for the work, why asking for food again... I was angry and ashamed and the same time to the point that I dropped the drinks I was holding on the same spot, held my guy hand and walked away.

It became a big issue that day to the point that people came to be begging with food to give my crew members but I insisted that we are not hungry. At a point another person offered us food from another tent but I said no.
Eventually, we eat elsewhere but same catch that woman so much that she couldn't look at me. Till today, I have not release their work for them.

You won't feed your friend turned guest turned photographer (and this is after you begging the photographer to do so because you are on a tight budget for a job of about $2000), you won't let the photographer drink water or sit for 5 minutes, you also won't let the photographer go outside to get a meal (from 11am - 7:30pm). If that isn't wickedness, I don't know what is.
