Umar is having another good season at division 2 and he will leave to a better league and I am so sure of that

If nwakali is doing well At division 2 he will also move to a better league soon

England didn’t cap vardy while he was playing for fleetwood town

If nwakali is lucky he will be called up

Ok , let me make this very simple and short because I don't think writing a long post will make any difference.

I will start with a simple question. Who are the proper midfield controllers we currently have. The answer is Nwakali, Amoo , Nwobodo, and Kingsley Michael, nobody else. Iwobi is filling that position because Rohr has refused to give opportunities to the players I mentioned earlier.

Do we have a problem with creativity in the team ? Yes , we have all agreed and re-echoed it. Was Iwobi available for the match against CAR ? No. So , who was Iwobi's replacement ?

I have noticed something about those who despise the mention of Nwakali. They can't provide another a better option.

Good gesture from Rohr I guess. That man has had a rough past 2 years

Yeah especially since after his divorce
I hope he made enough investment for himself now that he is no longer playing football

If he has the intelligence and interest he can for UEFA coaching courses and psychology courses

No , I don't agree Iwobi is a "creative midfielder. " He is just a stand in , for now.

I won't lie,im just watching highlights of the game. grin

Balogun errors plenty. He kept using a head where he should be using his feet for clearance when facing Uzoho. That alone gave CAR goalscoring chances from the highlight. Oyinbo wall were really off. This guy kept trying to pass down their middle like Chiesa, and they faltered. grin

That Awoniyi miss though undecided

Should have been 2-0 if not for the 13th players on our side, luck. Funny it was also on CAR side too.

Even at that. If Nigeria were to host AFCON, I don't think we will still have a stadium as good as this.

Instead dem go jus do small clean up for teslim balogun, den use Brila FM and Emzor Paracetamol cover everywhere. Stadium go be like crusade ground. Nigeria sef grin

Oga, if Nigeria were to host AFCON,we would get quality pitches like that one installed...
Or what kind of pitch did we use to host the u-20 world cup?
There are standards set for these kind of things....

The '09 hosting had a good pitch but needed some more improvement. SA even before WC had some nice pitches. I get your point though, but at this stage, we should be able to keep at least two pitches in excellent condition if we are serious. Sincerely. Hosting or no hosting.

Las las Rohr go collect all him salary. Na for this job he go pass retire. He has nothing to lose. Just maybe he will have a chance to make a name for himself as a coach, but I doubt he will.

This is one of the reasons why I advocated that the super eagles need to have a more permanent home ground..at least 2.. Somebody here was saying the team should be moving around the country in the name of nationalism or whatever.

See,most stadiums in this country are built by politicians to score cheap points..that's why after they are built, they are not well managed... the clubs that use them, have little resource at their disposal to manage them... When it's time to host the super eagles, you will see them carrying out last minute quick fix renovations...

Kante was good at Caen that’s why he made it to the epl

I don’t know the point here that you don’t want to understand ,I repeat you cannot compare a player at Barcelona chances of making the national team to someone who plays at division 2

Any player that’s good will surely play top flight football even if it will take time

A 17 year old Barcelona player situation should not be compared to a division 2 player

For example if pedri was still playing at las palmas he won’t make the Spanish team

Nwakali will get the exposure he needed if he is doing well at the Spanish division 2 and by then maybe he will easily get a call up to the super eagles

Not true at bolded ..in football you still need luck to move forward

Seriously,those advert boards are annoying..

The NPFL tried using digital advert board during one of the super 6 tournament a few years back... First at the Abuja stadium and later at Enugu,I think.. dunno why they stopped ...

I recall during the pre world cup qualifiers. I recall saying the least of our worries is the goalkeeping department. We needed creative midfielders. It is amazing how we expect to win games comfortably when there are no creative midfielders. The sad part is we were winning ugly and we got sooo comfortable with it that we forgot that a formidable team will expose Gernot Rorh. One would have thought Gernot learnt his lessons from the match against South africa in Uyo but no. He extended it to his friendlies. We were here when he was being "loyal" to the ones that got him qualified for the world cup at the expense of quality play. We were there at the world cup where he benched iwobi against Argentina. We were there when he kept on experimenting with 4-2-3-1 before and during the world cup. We were there when the only games eagles won or played pretty well in were games in which he played 3-5-2. We were there when he stuck to lone striker systems to accomodate certain players. All we were saying was oh what a good man manager he is.

Well he has managed the team well. The only problem is he forgot what he was hired to come and do. Instead of actually looking for perfect fit for positions, he started converting players to makeshift. Hss anyone ever asked what his coaching philosophy is? All i see him do is make excuses and run his own self assembled squad down by making them play like minnows. I cant for the life of me imagine losing to Madagascar. Small time, we will say there are no minnows in football. How do you have good arsenals on the bench and play a certain useless formation that can only thrive with a proper creative midfielder and be relying on misfits (positionally) to cross balls accurately? Heck what do they even do in training, I am tempted to ask? Saddling Etebor with freekicks? Does he even hit target in training? Etebor has never been a 10, nor a central midfielder. He is an attacker. This Gaffer converted him and he became a tackler... and of course, we were happy. Yaay...Etebor is a baller! How long will it take us to realize that the problem is not in lack of talents. It is in philosophy and belief system. If Gernot rorh will say on air that there is no shame in losing to Madagascar, wetin remain?

Yall can be sentimental all you like.... its all good. But the truth is even if you give Rorh the 94 eagles set, he will never change his way of playing. There was the fire I saw in the team when they played against argentina in the friendly. It involved quick exchange of passes. One would have thought he would build on it but no. He stuck to lone striker upfront at the world cup even though it failed during all the friendlies leading to the world cup. Note the way supplies are being cut off even before they reach the lone striker. But alas, he kept on with the same methods. 1st half of every game is usually a bloody waste of possession as all we did was huff balls into the air. And this is the coach we are hoping to take us to the promised land?

It dont matter whether you give him 20 years, his methods are one and the same. He never learns. He wants to implement his own system, unfortunately it hasnt worked against strong teams. Wake up everyone and lets stop being sentimental and lets call it what it is. MEDIOCRITY! I cant say I am surprised. It even reflects in the way we voted our leaders in the last elections. We might as well say Buhari should carry on till forever.

Just as a reminder.... we didn't need 5years to find out that our gaffer is clueless
