Gurus in the house thanks for all your wonderful inputs and contributions on this thread..
Please I see on my dash board an orange colour caution triangle sign and a VSA written close to it. These have been showing steady since yesterday afternoon.
What is the implication?

Thanks for your wise choice ..

Since it is naija used . I don't know what the previous owner has been using. now if the previous owner follow owners manual than I can suggest a brand......
If the previous owner has been using 20w50 continue using it until the engine packs up.........

When you finally do get that nice fresh TOKUNBO car . the following brand will be available

Thank you very much for your suggestion. cheesy.. How much for yours..?

That is good brand .. you have no worries. The 1 you are showing is for 1 time usage.. Meaning once u open up the can , you will have to use it all .....

Meanwhile the ones I brought in . This is currant ones now . it is self sealing ..meaning you can use what you need without wasting the whole can.. And keep the rest for later usage .. Nothing is wasted

Stabilizer linkages or bushings or both, upper control arms, ball joints or caliper pins.

Could be any of those, do a more detailed check

VSA - Vehicle stability assist, comes on when reckless drivers manoeuvres turns dangerously, shows the car system is trying to assist stability. Also a faulty ABS sensor can trigger it as well.
Reset, if it return, go do a scan and replace bad component

CAN'T ACTUALLY REMEMBER DRIVING RECKLESSLY OR TURNING DANGEROUSLY ON SATURDAY!

Also a faulty ABS sensor can trigger it as well.

THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS JUST PERFECT!

Reset, if it return, go do a scan and replace bad component

I NOTICED THAT THE REMOTE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING...THIS MORNING.
I CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR WITH THE KEY TOO!

@luvinhubby. Hi boss. Well done. Pls can you specify which of the 5W 30 oil one can use for Honda EOD 2004 as the Mobil 1 is extremely expensive. I was thinking about the Mobil Super 2000 but the reviews not too good. Many thanks as you assist.

Hello Sir.

I am wondering why you brought a Lexus problem to a Honda thread

Anyway, in the spirit of 'one love', below are the possible causes of the trouble codes:

-Intake air leaks
-Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
-Ignition misfiring
-Faulty fuel injectors
-Exhaust gas leaks
-Incorrect fuel pressure
-Lack of fuel
-Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
-Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection

Your car has a v6 engine, so you check to rule out or confirm the above on both banks as applicable.

Please, don't come back with subsequent queries on your Lexus in order not to derail this HONDA thread. I guess there might be a Lexus or Toyota thread elsewhere on Nairaland.

Good luck and cheers!

Sorry I no see the honda in page title. Everything you said is accurate. There's a plethora of issues and exhaust is cut into. Thanks

Hello everyone. I need an urgent help.

I have a 2003 Honda Civic auto. Recently, when you to turn the key to on position, the green key light will be flashing on the dashboard and it will NOT start even though the engine cranks. You will have to try starting the car like 5 or 6 times before the light will go off and the car will start. The next time it might start at once. So each time you want to start it, you will have to key turning the key to on position and off until you turn it on and the key light goes off the you can start the car. It could be 4, 5, 6 or more times.

The rewire has changed the key switch but the problem is persisting. He is saying its the transponder. He got it changed according to him, he said he got a key that matched with the new transponder but the problem is persisting. He is now talking about changing the fuse box.

Please I need urgent help before this guy complicates the problem for me. What exactly could be the problem? Once the car starts, it drives fine.

Thanks for all the help

I'm hearing a soft squeaky sound (like rubbing wood or a noisy door) on the driver side of my Honda Accord 08.
Mostly noticeable when I am going at 20kmh on a straight smooth road, and sometimes in bumpy roads.

Installed brand new suspensions a month back and replaced all the torn bushings on both front tires assembly.
I noticed this sound after a Wheel Alignment and balancing I did last week.

Right now I'm suspecting the engine seating is loose. Cos I do not expect new bushings and suspensions to start becoming noisy this early especially when I only drive an average of 30mins a day.

Is there anyone that has a diagnosis to this problem.

Does it happen when engine is hot or cold or both? Do respond ASAP.

Hope you haven't changed the fuse box. Waste of money and might mark the genesis of new problems. I can bet my balls that changing the fuse box won't solve the problem.

That was how I was babmouthed when I bought my EOD but could you believe that I haven't done any thing regarding to the legs for 2 years and running? Only changed ball joints the second day I bought the car, bought all tires and I haven't heard a damn noise. Been traveling with it. Only problem I've had is changing my transmission.
Last week when it rained in my area heavily throughout the week, we spotted 2 corolla and spider knocked soaking in the water and my EOD and a civic passed through same water comfortably. I'm talking full flooded almost covering my tires. No single water entered both cars. I would have avoided the road if there was an option.
The next day we also saw a RAV 4, C300 and spider ball joints pulled out along the express way. We didn't come across any Honda.
This was my personal experience this past week raining period. A guy using an rx300 was complaining bitterly about how his transmission has been misbehaving since he passed through the same water during that rain and his car is in the workshop. I guess
People who complain about Honda don't maintain their car or Honda is rugged somehow. Switching from BMW to Honda I don't regret any part of it

honestly Toyota is not a bad car not at all, just that from my observation people are getting tired of how they always discourage guys from experiencing other brands, when ever someone says he wants to get a car,its always get a Camry or corolla(which are a very good brands no doubt, infact also have both)
But they make it look like anything other than those two you won't experience peace of mind, yet I see folks using other brands like Benz, accord, civic etc for many many years and have served them very well, the Toyota or nothing folks should stop forcing the brands on people, its good to advice from personal experience, and its totally another thing to condemn other brands that such individuals have probably NEVER used their whole lives.
