OP, I respect your zeal to defend Brazil. A lot of people, especially Nigerians, are very ignorant of countries that are not UK, USA, Canada and other western countries. Can you imagine that some Nigerians actually believe that South Korea is a third world country?Brazil is more advanced than any country in Africa including SA. I have been reading about Brazil since I was a teen and the country is not a third world country. It's not a first world country either as there's a huge disparity between the rich and the poor and between the North and South. That's the reality on ground.

There's a huge racial inequality in that country even though they like to believe otherwise as Southern Brazil, which is dominated by whites, is the most developed part of Brazil while Northern Brazil, which is dominated by Blacks and Natives, is the most underdeveloped part of Brazil.

You made a smart decision to relocate to Brazil as there aren't many Nigerians moving towards that direction and with its large black population, you can easily blend in with the crowd. Brazil still has a lot of developing country problems such as poor literary rate, a high % of people living in extreme poverty and a low purchasing power compared to say Argentina, Chile or Uruguay.

Thank you, I remember a guy from Chile he posted about chile and boy oh boy, they bullied the guy and that was how the thread died many don't know that chileans don't need a visa to visit the USA because their country is good, highly developed

You need to understand that Nigerians are as ignorant as the Americans they mock. They know nothing about many countries across the globe. The Chilean passport is the strongest passport in Latin America. For your country to have visa-free access to the U.S., it has to be very developed. America has some of the strictest visa rules in the world after Australia. Countries like Argentina, Uruguay, Malaysia, Brazil and the gulf states aren't "third world". They are just a few years away from being first world if they don't mess themselves up. It will take Nigeria at least 2 generations to even get to their level let alone matching them.

I can sense how impressed you are with the high rises ... is it because you never expected such in Brazil? ...or because you never saw so many in your travels? Since you never visited the US... it is not a good idea to be writing what happens in the US without doing research. I can tell you about New York... New York City to be precise ... anyone ... anyone... the homeless ... illegal immigrant.... rich or poor... insurance or no insurancd... anyone needing emergency treatment can be picked up in minutes by an ambulance and rushed to the emergency room of a hospital for treatment. Every patient is billed.... if they claim broke... Medicare or.whoever pays the bill. Abeg... stick to Brazil and let's learn from someone on ground rather than Google.

@ topic....the location is sprawling... but I see public transportation. Do people shop mainly in Malls?... or is there like commercial areas with stores lining the streets?

Regardless if it's easy or hard to classify... the end result is what matters.... it is one of 152 Third World/Developing countries and so is Brazil. No doubt .... going by what qualifies a country to be termed developed... Brasil is at the door and so are some others like China, India and Malaysia.

If the knew more about Chile trust me they would be rushing down there, Argentina one of my fav country, I can't wait to visit

I just entered Sao Paulo and trust me the country is not as bad as people say. I have been to so many countries and naija is shit compared to Brazil.

Btw I didnt know Brazil was this cold o, is it because of the rain? I can't wait to have my Brazilian baby!!!!

I got to know that Brasil manufactured planes as per Embraer and of course we already knew they manufactured Luxurious buses. I think the wealth gap is the major problem there. The favelas are sprawling and the bureaucracy is notorious.

It appeared that the darker the colour of your skin, the poorer you were more likely to be. They have the most colour shades of human beings I have ever seen. 10 people can be near you and all have different skin colours.
