Two of my friends (who worked with different companies) resigned from their work recently, not because of their salaries but their claim was a bad boss and toxic environment.

My question is that which one should come first salary or the environment?

I was fresh from pharmacy school, got a job immediately, 12-8pm from Monday to Saturday for 40k monthly. I stopped after a month because I wasn't used to it, I almost broke down, not physically but mentally, I couldn't live my usual social life, my boss never agrees to a day off, not even for seminars, no watching of football, just engrossed in work, then I understood what adults go through in their lives, it's not easy. May God butter the bread of all hustlers, as a young man in Nigeria now, it seems one cannot make it big without having rich parents or doing yahoo. God help us all.

My boss was good to me and my pay was 100k, but I was bored and my job was so predictable. I got another job with better pay

Omo my own is similar too o,woke up by 5am, leave by 6 just to beat morning CMS traffic,CMS to obalende, obalende to Osborne, on top 35k salary

Now am in a different state, working for myself with peace of mind, making 200-250k/month..

Lagos life is really stressful and at the end after suffering month after month,no tangible improvement in ones life, you're just enriching another fellow

I had to work from Monday to Saturday even Sunday if need be without any allowance or bonus. And also work late many times 8am to 5pm official but I had to do extra hour(s) if necessary
I stay in ikorodu will wake up as early as 4, leave home before 5 to agbara lusada and must resume before 8am otherwise it's gonna be a query. I have to do all the civil engineering job a available with a payment of 90k. No job security, no pension, no gratuity package no insurance and not even PPE. I sack myself from the hand of those Indian people. Inside there is a modern day slavery I was even told that I was one of the highest paid black working there, while them would be inside an A/C fitted office with light 24/7.
Me I cannot come and die ontop oyinbo work.

It's after iyana iba, ijanikin...... Iyana isashi etc... I bet you oniru is better I have also worked even in awoyaya from ikorodu,but you would never try lusada from ikorodu it's a suicide mission.

Currently working at a microfinance bank, their pay is 54k but the stress from the job no be here, you gats disburse loan to 60 customers sef and the work is more like marketing jab, you go waka tire. Another problem of the job is that they don't pay early, till now we neva collect September salary, i resumed second week of August and till now i neva see any salary....I'll just wait till i collect mine, japa and face my online biz

The boss is erratic and as he was shouting how he will fire me , I just took a plain sheet of paper Infront of him and wrote my resignation letter and walk pass him and dropped it with the admin and left.
He started making trouble that I must come back and train the other staff on how to use our heavy duty machines that I alone knows how to operate. I have already gotten another offer. .
I worked diligently but he is ungrateful
