While we point accusing fingers, don't be surprised the person making the dish mistook rat poison for spice because they both were in the kitchen.

The authorities should do a forensic investigation to ascertain the cause of death but unfortunately we don't have the necessary equipment and don't even have the zeal to inquire into this kind of occurance.
This is where the white man and black Africans especially Nigerians have a very big gulf dividing them.
Watch investigation channel ID in DSTV and see how these people get to the root cause of crime and unresolved deaths.

That the people died of food poisoning doesn't necessarily mean that someone sprinkled poisonous stuff into their food like we see in Nollywood. There's a possibility that their food got contaminated with the deadly food poisoning bacteria, clostridium botulinum or some other dangerous contaminant.

When they say poisonous substance does not mean someone deliberately poisoned the family. It's most likely they are food preserved with chemicals such as beans which unscrupulous farmers and traders apply so as to stop weevils from eating the beans. This has happened many times in the past. A few years ago it was beans cooked from such beans that almost wiped out guests at a wedding in Enugu

I wonder who laced their food with poison.. Really sad. Rest in peace to them.
