I was strolling outside my street to go get a bag of water (5:32) when two military personnel approached me and my friend, (a girl) they wrong said I am part the people that use to come and destroy military property.

Before I knew it this men started beating me in front of my guest, they made me feel less a Man. I was beaten blue black my fellow nairalanders. As if that was not enough they told me to call my people and told them that I have been arrested by the Nigerian Army (all of that to make my poor mom scared so she will send money) To crown it up they made me transfer #10,000 from my bank account to one of the civilian boy working with them. ( My bank statement is a prove cause they made me delete my alerts)

While they were parading me on the street, nobody came close to ask what Happened, ( I understand they were also scared too) they picked another guy randomly accused him the same way they accused me. They collected #19,500 from to that same account.

Please Nairalanders I need your help so that this men will not go scott free. Below are pictures of me after I was released around 10:57pm

This happened where specifically? Is there an existing curfew in d area or was there any insecurity breach in the area? Can u identify the animals in uniform who did this to you?

Get a lawyer.

Lodge a complaint to human right commission.

Forward a petition to commissioner of police, military barracks in charge of the area/jurisdiction where the harassment/extortion happened.

Use social media handles to draw public attentions and tag relevant authorities as well.

however you said a civilian was working with them, you can target him you can sue him.

Do you really know them...do you see his numbers on his/her military uniform....do you see their faces?if yes, report it to the nearest military barracks or human rights for the properly arrest

Sorry about that. I trust and believe men of the Nigeria Army are well trained not to attack innocent citizens but to protect the nation from external attacks. However, with the rise of criminal activities in the nation, most criminals put on the uniform of the Nigerian Army pretending to be men of the Nigerian army and police while carrying out their crimes on the innocent citizens. We are aware of the various attacks on our security agencies in the south east where some of the security men are attacked, killed and their properties stolen. It is very possible that those criminals who attack our security men and steal their properties commit such crimes.

Since you said you have evidence of payment which is the transfer, I suggest you visit the nearest Police station around you and file in your complaint while the Police looks into the matter.

We all must join hands and stop this criminals parading as security men in our country.

I get your point, but these men took us to the guard room some of the personal on duty recognized then when they brought us in.
