But wait what is the usefulness of Yobo as a coach in this team so all this pundit work he has been doing he still don't understand the basics of football and essence of having a robust midfield

U see why i dont rare all this Rio,scholes,G. neville etc pundits give them an opportunity to coach and watch them fumble

I expect Yobo to make a difference in Rohr decision style at least just like Salisu was

Been a good pundits doesn't make one a good coach,DTS what I av realized so far, meanwhile I tot Salish was reinstated b4 d start of d qualifiers ,why are we not cin him on d bench yet?

I really like Salisu style of football,d man has football identity unlike rohr...his short stint as d head of coach showed dis....Bar his bribery,I will even prefer him ahead of amunike or any oda local coach,he has really covered up rohr tactical deficiency to some extent, but many won't agree here smiley

When exactly was Westerhof employed because according to the interviewer in the Clemens interview that wayodude posted he started with the world cup qualifier against Angola.

Clemens Westerhof first match on the bench for Nigeria was against Cameroon and it was our last match for 1990 WC qualifications.

Paul wonder boy Hamilton was the coach handling the team and he was in charge against Angola in Lagos were we lost Sam Okwaraji.I remember Stephen Keshi scored the only goal of that match that also paraded David Ngodigha who was in goal with Austin Eguavoen,Eboigbe,Uche Okafor,Osaro Obabaifo,Samson Siasia,Etim Esin,Ademola Adeshina,Sam Okwaraji,Humphery Edobor with Dahiru Sadi as a sub.

It was a very tense match.

Sam Okwaraji lost his life on the field of play.

I think you are right, meanwhile who was the coach when we drew 2-2 in Angola?

Your point makes perfect sense to me and I agree with you. However I disagree with you on your response about what Westerhoff did when you said that was the 90s. Yes that was from the 90s, however, we can always learn from our experiences. So I just served you your own dose sir.

Paul Halmiton was in charge and remember we came from two goals down to level up with goals from Ademola Adeshina and late screamer from Stephen Keshi.

Nigeria had a good national team build up after we failed to qualify for Egypt 86 by losing to Zambia.Coach Chris Udemuze was sacked after Zambia match and Halmiton was named as his successor temporarily based on his achievement with 1985 U 20 team and this gave opportunity for some 1985 U 20 players like Samson Siasia,Monday Odiaka,Andrew Uwe who was named captain of new Super eagles and surprisingly he captained eagles when senior player like Keshi returned back to the team after he was banned from eagles for reporting late to camp by Anthony Ikhazobo.

NFA later appointed a German Manfred Hoener as eagles coach.Hoener took us to maroc 88,after he left,Paul Hamilton took over and build a very strong team that are ready for qualifications to Italian 90.He did well but surprisingly NFA was looking for foreign coach to take over, which they later did with Clemens Westerhoff though it later paid off cos Westerhoff was able to build a solid team from Algiers 90,Senegal 92,Tunisia 94 and later US 94 and the team remain the best till today.

He did say that, I was surprised too! I always thought his first game was against Cameroun away. I thought Paul Hamilton was the coach in the Angola game. I was 10 yrs old then so maybe I didnt know as much as I thought.

V.Osimhen and L.Insigne: No better duo in the Serie A this season so far

It's 21/22 season and it's the duo of the Monster Machine and Lorenzo II Magnifico who lead the way for most passes combined between them more than any other attacking duo in Italy.

A Special and dreaded duo... cool

Sources close to the midfielder insist he was shocked to be named on standby in the Super Eagles squad for their AFCON qualifiers in March as no discussion was held over his invitation to the team.

” From what I was told there was no talk with Rohr. Olise didn’t speak with him before he was named in the squad for the AFCON qualifiers in March. He didn’t honour the game and rightly so because that isn’t how to go about calling a player with dual nationality”, the source told OwnGoalNigeria.com in an exclusive chat

I would like to see Awaziem and Balogun duo in central defence instead of Ekong, they are both good ball players and may have a better understanding than Balogun - Ekong duo

Nigerian fans are good at forcing their experience players into retirement. They did it to JJ, Kanu, Oruma, Mikel and a hosts of others, infact currently they're on Ahmed Musa's case. People wey get mind wan force Iwobi into international wilderness as if there's a replacement for him, thank God that Tokumbo CAR open their eyes inside Teslim Balogun stadium.

There's only two sector in this country that seem to be working quite well and can compete with the best in the world.. They are entertainment and ICT. And that's because they aren't being controlled by the government...

There's so much potential in this country..so much... it's a pity we have such terrible leaders...

A certain Ikpeazu who plays for Middlesbrough with 2 goalz in 9 matches has shun call ups from Uganda national team instead he is hoping he gets Rohr attention soon...he said hisdream is to play for the super eagles some day
He is already 26 years old

Someone should tell him, to better honour that call up asap because he may not get to play for the super eagles any time soon

Rohr need to hold a chat with the player and his agent and let him know how much he needs him in super eagles

Rohr can do everything the pundit recruited as his assistant should take up this initiative too if he is smart and knowledgeable.....

This things are not rocket science

I disagree with the idea of Salisu being tactically ahead of Amunike. In the U17 2015 success, Amunike made some creative insights that had members of the FIFA technical committee of the competition praising him.

Also, Amunike's exposure to coaching at the La Masia puts him on a high ground tactically.
