Good evening ogas, my star keep reducing on daily basis from 4.95 to 4.40. I have arranged 5 trips from a friend and rate myself 5 star still no show and bolt has been sending warning massage to me please what will I do to increase it

They won't deactivate your account as long as you don't request for offline. Just be polite to riders, drive safe, put your a/c, keep your car clean, play music(if they ask you to) just be yourself.....it will come back up. It fluctuates.

Check my rating below. As at Monday, it reduced to 4.6 from 4.8. it's back to 4.8 today.

Pearl you were right about this argument. If you start the ride at the middle of the trip, the app gives you calculated fare based on kilometer driven. This was a trip of about 1:25mins I did yesterday without starting the ride.
I'm still trying to figure out how he's right.

If an investor comes in with 15 cars requesting for 15 experienced drivers currently on the platform, it will create a vacuum of 15 drivers which new drivers can fill.

I can only vouch for drivers I personally train. So unless it's a brand new driver I trained, I don't trust him and I'm not sorry to say that.

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by CheerfulGiver: 10:05am On Oct 17, 2021
The best way to harvest experienced drivers is to randomly request a vehicle, and conduct an interview with the driver. Chances are that you will offer him a better deal.

Moove drivers currently on UberGo are a perfect example. They have been maintaining those brand new korope cars very well, but are only paid 4k daily.

From my personal research on them when I'm in their vehicle, they are ready to jump to a better offer. cool

Is this how ants do it? Na wa oo

I had to take a break at 3pm, as my ac wasn’t keeping up with the hot sun.

Thinking of doing an ac overhaul, but a new compressor for my car cost about 200-300 pounds, so I dunno.

Happy Sunday to everybody!

The only time I'm without the car is when I drop it off for major repairs. Other errands and activities I intertwine with the job to make sure I'm not burning fuel for nothing.

If I have an appointment, I start working earlier, to cover up before the appointment, then continue after. I use destination trips for those, especially.

Most importantly, I only buy fuel from any Enyo, any Heyden, Mobil federal Palace, nnpc ikoyi. The rest is when I am far from preferred stations and I have no choice. The fuel from those places I mentioned, burns slowly especially if you have a perfect fuel system.

A perfect fuel system burns up fuel completely, therefore the exhaust produces steam instead of smoke.

It’s not always easy to stay on top of maintenance though.

Like for instance I have bad motor mounts and the cost of new ones are about 40k each, that would be like 160k for all 4, unless I want to shop for used or fake new ones. Then a new compressor for my car cost 300 pounds plus shipping, unless again I go with a tokunbo or suspect one.

Even if I worked as hard as you as per driving, it would take over a month or two to get this all in order.

I admit though that these items were already bad before I started the ehailing, but even if they went bad while ehailing, it would still be costly.

We should just hope, pray and possible act against major repairs.

Bros only idiots allow their cars to spoil, you should not allow your car to spoil nau.
Use destination trips to drop it at the mechanic and get it fixed ASAP.

This A/C issue confuses me sometimes.
Cos I've used my car for almost 3yrs now and no A/c technician have ever come close to my car.

I've never topped my Gas before nor change any a/c component before, yet my a/c is still performing far better than most cars I've checked their's.

I don't know the cost of a/c gas nor any other a/c component; except the filter. And I change my filter by myself almost every 3/4months and that's all.

I do that anytime I notice that my car is not cooling as it should. I'll either clean the filter or change it if it's too dirty. It's only 1k.

I do that anytime I notice that my car is not cooling as it should. I'll either clean the filter or change it if it's too dirty. It's only 1k.

That is how it should be, since it’s a closed loop system mostly free from contaminants.

My sisters car has an ac system that has never been touched since 2008, and yet still blows cold till today, like freezer cold, no matter the suns intensity; Everything is factory spec, compressor, condenser, evap core, exp valve... everything

My car on the other hand had an accident once and I just had to do enough to get it running, it was then I discovered they put a Peugeot compressor in my car.

When that one spoilt, I didn’t have the funds to buy the right compressor in my car, so I willfully allowed the ac kazeem to put another motor shaking compressor in my car.

So really, if your car has the right ac parts, and they were new, then the system should last a long long time, barring any rare unforeseen component failure.

If a repair is done, then via my research, I’ve seen this is were problems start to occur. Nigerian ac Kazeems don’t even have ac gauges, they don’t vacuum the ac system, they don’t weigh refrigerant and they put any refrigerant in there.

So if you were to buy a new compressor for instance and give it to a Kazeem, I would not expect it to last, unless, you flushed, vacuumed, got a new condenser, weighed the refrigerant, put the right amount of oil and so on.

The kazeems will just fix the compressor, pour an arbitrary amount of oil inside, put refrigerant and with no gauges, they will say it is enough when the low side pipe is cold to their own specific touch.

I almost spit out my coke reading this, lol.

Men, I’m just thinking, I need my car to be up to spec, like spec bro!

Like, you know how airplane maintenance standards are abi? I’m sure you wouldn’t want to fly in a plane that has been maintained in the hanger with tokunbo or fairly used parts.

I’d like my car to be that way, although for most small testable things I don’t even look at new parts.

Like for my check engine light I bought a scanner for 1,500 from jumia, instead of paying a mechanic 5,000 to scan the car. The scanner told me the bank 2 heater sensor circuit was faulty. Took out the oxygen sensor and ran a resistance test, then I figured I could go used since I could simply run a resistance test on the used part. Problem solved!

However for something like a compressor, it’s hit or miss going tokunbo, it’s not like you can see through to the internals, or see leak spots when buying. Same with a motor mount, you might get a used one with the rubber still looking intact, but the rubber might already be degraded. Then one would be wondering why the problem is still there.

At the end of the day sha, I must admit, it all depends on the availability of funds. If I had extra extra funds right now, I’d buy a brand new compressor and motor mounts and know that I wouldn’t have to worry about those for another 10 years.
