I was coming back from travel yesterday and this argument came up I even told the sienna driver I once finished the sienna speed which is 180/ph, most of the passengers said it's not possible to do 180 on any Nigeria road I just look at them and laughed.
No need to even argue with people that said trailer can run more than car.

In most of those YouTube videos, d cars have been enhanced. That's why u can see them achieving high speeds. Don't try it with ur normal car.

There is a relationship between the Horse Power of your car and the top speed it can achieve at 1,000 rpms

Stock ride... Though anybody can claim anything.
Those limits you speak of start to come into play when you approach top speed. The speed increase slows down considerably as RPM approaches redline, it's to save the engine I think. This is on stock cars. Out of the factory the car is programmed to achieve the speed on the speedometer.
Moded cars will surpass the top speed easily if so modified. Air intakes are larger, ECU is reprogrammed etc

Someone did 68 trips last week without being asked, but is going to uber office because of 55 trips to make extra 10k.

I haven't driven the XC90 like that, the car feels heavy so I don't feel comfortable pushing it hard and I've not had the chance to drive it outside Lagos.
My brother says you don't feel like you're going fast in it, him na 160km/hr and car feels like your driving leisurely

Most time he reason why Car AC is not optimum is the air filter.....I service mine myself every month and change it completely after 4 months......Ac cools well come hot or fire ......

Change your filter ....watch YouTube videos that explains your car model/year and DIY.

Peace
What's the implication of not using filter but AC na coldstone?

No no no...on modern cars, the speedometer is a couple of Tens of miles/kms more than the top speed the car is designed to reach. The extra is for economics or marketing reasons.
For Economic reasons; So they can use thesame speedometer on different models/trims and
For Marketing reasons; so u will think ur machine can go that fast when in actual sense it can't.

Your lungs and evaporator are at risk of damage.
You will inhale concentrated dust plus particles in an enclosed and airtight environment.

To some degree I'd agree and then again disagree.
I think the major reasons for the adjustments are to protect the engine and the environment.
Like Many new cars won't let you rev beyond 4/5000 RPM for "environment" sake, even if you floor the accelerator.
Yes, some models/trims share parts and like you said some adjustments for maybe 10 extra KM.
But for significant difference between trims, things are different over and under the skin. A corolla S sports a different instrument cluster. A corolla xrs is a complete different beast and it's instrument cluster is different too same as its top speed.
Then again, aerodynamics, the faster you go the more wind resistance. That's why as you approach those extremely high speeds the increment is slower. Given enough room, without the limiter the car will do its stated top speed

On Lagos Ibadan express, i dey fire am. The vehicle is too comfy! The R design trim is sleek.

Las las e go hard to thief volvo. I go share pic someday.

This is the type of scanner I got, but I can't find it on jumia at the N1,500 price anymore

Maybe I got lucky with the seller slashing his price about a month ago

It only worked with an android device

You are sure ready to spend all your earnings on parts. Listen to Pearl.

One of the beautiful things about this thread and life generally is that, one way, nature finds a way to give the best advice, or rather good advice. But humans, being human, we like to learn the difficult way. What people go around looking for is validation, and not advice.

If you are on this job. Don't buy cheap, buy quality parts. When quality parts looks like it wants to take you out of business, buy reasonably priced parts, or good used.

No parts person will tell you this. But I will, free of charge. What you often pay more for on very expensive parts are warranties and business running cost, in whatever form they take.

If it is from say, Dealership. If the parts cost price is 50k. Selling price to end user could be 100k. Why? Mark ups, cost of no questions asked when you seek refund(Like you get instant refund if you change mind or part is defective) , business related cost.

You sure won't get a refund from chinedu or baba Nura.

Now, this does not rule out knock of parts.

Also, I smile when people say I buy my parts from amazon, with small shoulder pad and funky feeling. Amazon makes it quality! No. Amazon does not produce parts, it is the same way, buying from konga or jumia. You buying from Another Chinedu and Baba Nura, with amazon fulfilling the order (handling delivery)

My point. Use your Head. No let them help u use am, you already did with the oxygen sensors

Point taken, I will try to find good used anyway I can for some parts.

Like if the part was taken directly of a used or salvaged vehicle.

It's just hard to trust these market sellers, vs say, buying directly from a DENSO distributor.

These market guys could even try selling you the faulty parts that someone has thrown away from their car as tokunbo.

I will take a weekend and go to ladipo myself, or find a seller that will take returns.

Thanks for the advice.

My major issue with the Volvo, mine and my brother's, it kinda takes some seconds to get going, but once it's off, ooooooohhhh it's gone. Na that slight delay de make coro boys think say we be mate.
I remember racing one Camry muscle between Berger and oworo on noght, the guy must have been surprised. Overtook him at alapere, slowed down for him to catch up at ogudu then dusted him at ifako, slowed down for him at oworo saluted him before turning off to gbagada.
For the XC90 I de fear say the brake no go hold the weight, it's heavy maahnn.
The comfort, it's sweeeeeett
