Good day all.

Please can you continue to live in Uk even when your visa has expired?

Or will one be deported?

Infact, you don’t even need a visa to go to the UK.
Just buy ticket. Enter aeroplane. Land in the UK and begin living your life.

Good morning, all.

Please I need some insight on British Citizenship.

Can a child born in the UK while his/her parents have Tier2 visa (before receiving ILR), claim/become a UK citizen after the parents have stayed for five years and received the ILR?

For instance, the parents had just spent one year in the UK after coming in with a three-year Teir 2 visa and gave birth in the second year of the visa. Can they apply and get citizenship for the child after five years of stay and receiving the ILR?

Thanks.

Not correct. You can apply for it as soon as you have residency.

If what you mean by residency is having a brp, then I have my brp. But the image below is saying otherwise

Yes. You just need to apply for MN1 Naturalisation for your child

I like to encourage women into tech and help them with their journey but because I do this for free, I’m not always available and don’t take too many people on. I just stand as support, someone to rub mind with, cheerlead and help plan career. There’s another lady that helps, I don’t believe she charges (she may), I got her permission to put her name here but I need to respect her privacy so I keep deleting it.
Please l need you in my life....God!!!! I will help me realise my dream of switching career to Tech and l will be eternally grateful to you.l need mentorship so badly.l will appreciate your response.thank you

Usually I’d advice people not to buy a car straight away but your case is very different as you’ve got family commitments. Your premium is high am suspecting as a result of your international drivers license.
You just have to pick one of the insurance companies you’ve found because all of them would be of similar price. But try avoid that blackbox if you can because your Naija driving style different from UK.

PLEASE, WHAT THE PROCESS/REQUIREMENT FOR OBTAINING THE INTL DRIVERS LICENSE?

Please, I need the link to apply for the vacancies for foreign workers from abroad (fruit pickers etc,) that are highly in demand. Someone close to me needs this help.
Thanks in advance

The ‘unwritten’ expectation for those fruit pickers is that they would come from Europe , especially Eastern Europe.

I really doubt if the UK Govt has Africa (esp Nigeria) in mind for those fruit picker and HGV drivers visas…
But, what do I know?

When I mentioned earlier about single occupancy, we got contrary opinions from others, about entitlements about the spouse.........

I was paying the 75% until I read it here I did not have to.
Sharp, I sent my council mail, took them a while to respond but they did and asked for proof. Sent the same letter I had used for 25% discount to them with brp of my partner and I. Long story short, I am not paying council tax till March even though I finished school this September as they applied the already paid to the unpaid. Send your council a mail please. NB, House was rented in both my partner and I's name but does not cost you anything in sending an inquiry.

Good evening everyone,

just need some clarity...
must I get a provisional license before I can take lessons with an instructor? ?
I'm still within my 1year of being allowed to use the intl license. but I need to switch asap as I start work in Jan and it is a requirement (they have given me some laxity here, I def need the license and we both agreed I need to start working towards a UK license).

I was thinking of taking lessons with instructors while still having my intl as I understand that once I get a provisional, the intl becomes void. Is this legal?

She can go for her PhD in canada.

I thought you were talking of job opportunities and not further study.

She can do her PhD in uk after MSc but she cannot practice as a BMS.

Also with just a MSc in BMS in UK, she cannot practice as a BMS in canada.

Exactly.

There was someone here who got into some hot waters for using an international license after getting the provisional license.
I can't recall the specifics but I think your international license becomes invalid immediately you're issued the provisional license and if you were to be in any sort of accident the insurance won't cover you.
Others may have full details but beware.

Now that you mention it, I faintly recall that story, the guy got a fine of 10k.....
I may have to just get as many informal lessons as I can so that I can take the tests soon after getting a provisional..

You also need to have passed your theory test before you can book your practical test and you need your provisional license to book the tests.
