You obviously misunderstood me Sir, I am already schooling fulltime and if its something that requires a full time training for him then it will definitely affect our finances. so I am looking at how soon he can start considering the financial aspect. I already said I will make research but need to be aware what to look out for.

Well, I was advised by a senior family friend that, I as a dependent should just try take up any job in as much as it’s bringing in lots of money for us to clear off our debts (school debts and money borrowed to aid our traveling) and after my wife studies when the financial burden will be lesser, then we should focus on looking for specific jobs that will help aid out stay, but for now we should focus on making money.

So, I don’t know if you could apply this also,

Tho, it doesn’t stop the dependant to be pursuing other better offers,

But to cheer you up, some online applications do ask "diversity" questions which includes your age range, gender and race.

@Aphrodite007 you no wan mentor me ba cry

Hahaha you’re not serious. Yeah it’s a no-no. Haba dusty I spent my day running round looking for how to get you help. You know this is a nameless place and me I like my id hidden, so I had to find another way for you to get the help you.

I’m always so proud of women that want to change careers and I’ve finally found someone for you- had to ask for her permission.

Please I would like to know about the bold part, I am the student but I believe my husband has better chances cos he is a Biochemist but has over 5 years experience working in the health sector in Nigeria and some assume he read a medical course. For now he has gotten an Amazon warehouse operative job but we are thinking of how he can switch to the medical field that has chances of sponsorship. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

No worries, I just need to get serious and be more confident. I think I have the basics but need a bit more belief in myself. I will make the move successfully. Thank you for going out of your way to help.

For me in my 2 contract roles so far, it's been 1 interview each. The second role was 1 and half. The half was for them to see me in person and lasted less than 20mins because I extended it with my questions so that my transport fare will not waste.
That's one of the advantages of contracting. I hate long recruitment processes.

Modified.
Actually all my jobs in the UK, Permanent and Contract have been 1 interview only.

Please pardon me if this issue has been sorted out before. The slides are much to check through.
I stay in Leicester with my family although my school is at Sheffield. My husband rented the house with his name and I’ve applied for council tax exemption but I got letter saying is only 25% will be exempted since my husband is not a student. Is that how it’s been done?
Again we’re trying to buy a car and considering the best option for insurance monthly payment ? We’re barely 2months here.
Thank you.
You should have rented in your name. I don't know if full exemption will work in this situation

Training will cost money, however he will make the money back eventually and the benefits of tier 2 sponsorship. Your choice....

Currently a Perm. I had an assessment which deemed me then to be inside but the implementation was postponed so I and others appealed. That contract has ended now and I am back to perm. Looking to go back though even if I am deemed inside IR35, this permanent thing is not working for me.

I’m guessing its not IT right? Everyone always says job security. Has there been a time when you didn’t have a contract gig.

Orazly:
Need an advice: Got to the UK three days back and ordered a Covid-19 day2 and 8 test kits from Dante’s Lab, was told I should expect the kits the following day from a mailing company in the UK. The mailing company arrived and was unable to locate my address and had to return the item to the sender(Dante lab) since they couldn’t locate my exact flat. I got to know later that day that an attempt was made to deliver the kits to me but they couldn’t get to me and it will be sent back to Dante.
I have emailed Dante several times and no response from them, I had to purchase day5 test to release kits hoping that If the previous parcel is sent back I will do my day 2 and day 5 (test to release) then leave isolation, but up till this moment no response or mails from Dante and today is my 4th day in the UK.
My Question is:, can I carry out the day 5 Covid 19 (test to release) on the 5th day and if the result comes out and it’s fine, can I start coming out and live my normal life? Or are there implications for not doing the day 2 test.
Call Dante to cancel and request for a refund. Then call NHS to request for test kit. It's free of charge but expect their visit any time and also, your quarantine starts from the day they deliver the test kits. Good luck.

Thank you.

When I mentioned earlier about single occupancy, we got contrary opinions from others, about entitlements about the spouse.........

Pay the 75% in peace......... As stated, the rental agreement should be in your name (I say no more)..... Before justwise says we are encouraging illegal behaviors........... wink

About the car, loads of places to buy cars...... Ebay, gumtree, dealers, Facebook marketplace etc etc

The checks YOU MUST undertake, was listed in a previous post....... Hunt down post from previous thread.......

Ensure you declare right details to insurance company, after you get a quote from confused.com, moneysupermarket, compare the market etc...... Put a phone call through to them, to ensure all details are accurate.......

Your insurance would be declared null & void, at the point of any claim, if any discrepancy is noted........

It is actually IT but very specialised (Telecoms) and limited hence why I am looking to go into the tech side.
There was a time I didn't have a gig but luckily my contract "savings" saw me through. I am perm now because I didn't find a contract role plus I had hope to hit a jackpot so I can retire. Well long and short of it is that I am back to work and retirement is postponed embarassed .
