How more rounded is Osimhen then?

This statistics does not in anyway prove that halaand offers more than Osimhen. I may as well use the screen shots below to prove that Osimhen offers more than halaand, considering their strengths, weaknesses and style of play

I cannot leave it at that after seeing how Ajax is keeping him quiet tonight. Osimhen won't be shut down like this.... no way! Not the Monster Machine!! Mbanu!!!

And soon, I will show the thread just why. I had some good time on my hand today after work and I decided to use some other authoritative number/stats keepers to prove my point on Osimhen's well rounded abilities. A quick research in reference to two of the top sites I indulge when I wanna go deeper than the deep in the numbers game.

Those citing only Sofascore are limited. I have already told you that Sofascore does not take account of pressure stats or ball carries made by a striker either on the turn towards goal or from deep. Sofascore does not measure the kind of passes a player delivers...... Sofascore is good and I use it but it is damn limited. Even their Defensive rating for Haaland and Osimhen is damn wrong.... with the comprehensive stats I will drop you will see why Haaland is indeed the elite finisher of the beautiful game today and has very good passing but he falls short and in some, way short of Osimhen in other attributes.

I am coming. Food is done but I decide when it will be served. Make I finish games first...

Haaland and Osimhen rightly stay in the same sentence and soon you will see it for yourselves... (even though I know folks go still turn blind eye and argue nonsense). grin

This is TheSupernerd... don't doubt when I say there is a strong case in place to place Osimhen alongside Haaland. Both are Beasts... but of unique flavors.

Wait for it... lol

The Preamble

You know.... grin

...Folks bringing Amateur graphics showing Goals and Shots converted is laughable.

Abeg, doesn't shots converted also translate to Goals?? grin I mean what else would shots converted mean? It means a shot that turned into a goal. See how amateurish that graphic is. Childish graphic. Lol

The two (Goals and Shots Converted) are directly related so it's rubbish and denies focus on other parameters.

If it read Shots Conversion rate, then we would be talking something more mature. Coz that's goals scored divided by the number of shots taken.

Headers? Osimhen has won wayyyyy more. But he has also lost many because he constantly gets his body up for aerial battles. He doesn't shy away from it.

And the graphic says Headers... not Headers %. Ehyeaaa

According to stats by fbref (+ analytically compiled by Statsbomb with focus on Club career stats only give or take a few matches coz the stat is constantly being updated).... Haaland has won 77 and lost 73 aerials... whereas Osimhen has won 161 and lost 267.
Big difference between both lads when it comes to how constantly one throws himself into battles in the air.

So while Haaland may boast the better aerial duels won % because he hardly get s up for aerial battles, Osimhen have actually won way more aerial battles.

But what about Defensive actions according to Sofascore? See... Osimhen is clearrrrrrr... so cleaarrrr that it makes the Sofascore depiction laughable.

So in this light, I present to you the Haaland vs Osimhen player comparison using more detailed and far more comprehensive analytics and statistical data with focus on ONLY CLUB CAREER STATS.

Remember, the stats are constantly updated so it will be interesting going back at the end of the season or even at mid-season to see what has changed. grin

Don't forget the whole point of all this. wink I am only trying to show Osimhen is actually the more well-rounded motherf**King Strikerrrr who offers more attributes-wise in live action. Haaland will trump in the shooting and Goals creating actions and even in passing but in defensive actions, Possession attributes, Shot creation actions, Osimhen edges. Passing Types show they are almost at par but thereis one interesting stat info... Osimhen actually is the better long/high ball passer. Something he constantly shows when he falls to the channels and switches plays with long balls.

Let's begin...

Shown Below....

1. Their Miscellaneous stats SHOWING aerial duels and performance. OSIMHEN ON TOP.

A striker main responsibility is to score goals and assist (create chances) and when you start mentioning irrelevant stats in a striker to feed your narratives, you lost. It’s the same people that criticize Rohr for playing Simon ahead of ejuke

If I was running Newcastle United, these guys below will take over the running of the football side of the club.

I will put Marc Overmars as technical director

And Erik Ten Hag as coach of Newcastle United.

They are doing a wonderful job in Ajax.

Hope people know Erik Ten Hag was Bayern Munich youth team coach when Guardiola coached Bayern Munich.

So people can know that a coach doing well in youth football can do well at the highest stage.

That is why I find it baffling about people.

If I said Benzema is a better all round striker that Higuain, does that mean that Higuain is a one dimensional robot?

I repeat, the problem is comprehension.

Guardiola might prefer Osimhen due to some of his different attributes.

You people will interpret it as Guardiola prefers Osimhen.

Iheanacho is a better finisher than Mbappe. That is Iheanacho is deadlier in the box.

You people will interpret it as Iheanacho is better than Mbappe.

It's not comprehension that is the problem but rather it is that you are being disingenuous using sophistry to spin confusing yarns.

Look at what you said above. Those are distinctions without any differences.
The first example shows that Gaudiola prefers Osimhen. The second sentence shows why he prefers him. Bottomline: Gaudiola prefers Osimhen
And as such both your original statement and the interpretation people give to it are one and the same. As in it is properly comprehended.

Second example is real sophistry. everyone knows that Iheanacho and Mbappe are finishers. You say Iheanacho is a better finisher yet you don't want the person to understand that you are saying that Iheanacho is better than Mbappe but that is what you have unequivocally said. No one can understand you otherwise.

So my dear goodjoe the problem is not comprehension but bad communication, thoroughly bad communication

Mbappe is ten times a monster than Iheanacho in work rate. Mbappe is better than Iheanacho in skills. Mbappe is better than Iheanacho in wing play. Mbappe is better than Iheanacho in defending.

So how does saying Iheanacho is better than Mbappe in finishing chances mean he is a better player than Mbappe?

MIGHT, MIGHT, MIGHT.

There are things that I have seen in Osimhen which makes me feel Guardiola might prefer him.

I don't know if Guardiola will prefer him. But, from my study of him and what he wants from a striker. I think, me, I think he will prefer Osimhen.

The point is simple.

Next thing someone types nothing I will not read, someone is saying Guardiola will prefer Osimhen. Haba.

There is no similarity. The other one is an observation. Not a guarantee.

3. Their Passing Types Analytics. Quite a balance here.

Note some dynamics here... Haaland edges in some, Osimhen edges in some.

Osimhen has the most Passes made while under pressure from the opposition.

Osimhen also Delivers the most passes that travel more than 40 yards of the width of the pitch. Long ball passing on point.

Haaland has more dead ball passes. I.e. Passes made from dead ball situations like freekicks, cornerkicks, kickoffs, throwins and goalkicks.

Haaland is more adept at ground passes. But Osimhen is better at low and high level passes.

Low Passes are those that leave the ground, but stay below shoulder-level.

High Passes are those that are above shoulder-level at the peak height.

Enjoy. wink

It's like the analysis I watched on ESPN regarding Mendy and Ederson. It was agreed that Ederson is a better passer of the ball but as far as GOALKEEPING is concerned, Mendy trumps him and that is what matters because both of them are goalkeepers.

Ditto this talk about strikers. It is the person who scores more that is better than the other ooo even if the other striker defends or has other qualities than his striking peer because goalscoring is what is primarily expected of strikers.

Enjoy. wink

4. Their Defensive Actions Analytics. Osimhen is Boss. NO ARGUMENTS.

He totally out-bosses Haaland in every pressing stat.

Osimhen trumps Haaland in the Number of times one applies pressure to opposing players who are receiving, carrying or releasing the ball.

He tops Haaland in the 3 pitch divisions of pressing... in the Defensive third of the pitch, the middle third of the pitch and the attacking third of the pitch. He is a pressing monster who never stops. He is a headache that will never go away.

Note:
Def 3rd -- Number of times applying pressure to opposing player who is receiving, carrying or releasing the ball, in the defensive 1/3
Mid 3rd -- Number of times applying pressure to opposing player who is receiving, carrying or releasing the ball, in the middle 1/3
Att 3rd -- Number of times applying pressure to opposing player who is receiving, carrying or releasing the ball, in the attacking 1/3

But Haaland has one thing going for him, he doesn't apply pressures to the volume heights Osimhen does but his is kinda efficient, that is to say, he does it when he feels like and when he does, he does get possession most times. His pressure % is 30.9 while Osimhen's % is 28.4.

He doesn't Press as much as Victor but his less pressing numbers mean a higher Press % for him because his press gains possession for his side more than his attempted press doesn't.

But Osimhen presses more and wins as much possession within 5secs of the press for his side but he also has a high volume of attempted press that didn't get back possession within 5secs.

This is the reason I bring out the numbers because % alone can be quite deceptive. Lol

In interceptions, tackles, Number of times blocking a pass from the opposition, Blocks,The Difference is clear. Osimhen is simply far ahead.

Mujtahida:

It's like the analysis I watched on ESPN regarding Mendy and Ederson. It was agreed that Ederson is a better passer of the ball but as far as GOALKEEPING is concerned, Mendy trumps him and that is what matters because both of them are goalkeepers.

Ditto this talk about strikers. It is the person who scores more that is better than the other ooo even if the other striker defends or has other qualities than his striking peer because goalscoring is what is primarily expected of strikers.

They know this, but want to act oblivious. It’s the same people that criticize Rohr for using Moses Simon ahead of a more purposeful winger despite the fact that Simon has the best defensive qualities between all our wingers

By the way, Zaidu was impressive today vs Milan and I will prefer him to collins
