So, this is the way we are going again. The OP has chronic psychiatric disorders.

The same divide and rule that the evil Northern Oligarchy has been using to rule over the South. Yorubas, Igbos, Ijaws, Ikwerres, Kalabari, e.t.c. have all made mistakes in the past. These are the mistakes that the illiterate Almajaris that form the Northern Oligarchy have been taking advantage of to suppress the South.

Southern Unity is a must. Any Southerner that moves against any fellow Southerner in favour of the Northern Oligarchy, such Southern is a betrayer, a backstabber and a treacherous Judas. Such betrayer(s) will die miserable death because betrayers die miserably.

Rather than reply your insults I will let it slide in order to educate you

The same Azikwe had the opportunity of forming a central Govt with Awolowo in 1960. Awo proposed Azikwe being the PM while himself will be the deputy PM
What did the nincompoop do? He went and formed alliance with the Nothern NPC where Ahmadu Belle became the PM and he became a ceremonial president

In 1979 he Zik had the opportunity of teaming up with UPN using his NPP party to instal the president but yet again he formed alliance with NPN to install Shagari a fulani man.

Small boy, from the above whose speciality is it in forming alliance with the North to frustrate southern interests?

Just because Tinubu now did what your brain damaged fore father's have being doing since inception of this nation in helping to install Buhari you want to commit suicide

You never hala. In 2023 Yoruba alliance with the North will continue to install a Yoruba president as payback, then will your wailing start in earnest

The only way it can be done is for elected representatives of the region to table a motion for constitutional amendment to accommodate referendum. The problem is that rather than piling pressure on their senators to do this they will rather kill all the promising citizens of their land and insult and abuse other tribes.

What would be the point of a Senator to table a motion for a referendum that all of the legislators would vote on? You need two third votes in the upper and lower chamber for such motion to pass and you can bet that no Northerner will ever vote for referendum to be part of the Nigerian constitution

Pointless

So the word of one Azikiwe was greater than that of the suppose Sufferhisticated Awolowo,Ahmadu bello and others combine.

Even northern soldiers killed Military governor of Western Region, Col.Adekunle Fajuyi,Instead of confronting
north for killing their brother. They changed the narrative claiming that their brother asked Northern soldiers kill him.
Imagine what the narrative would have be if he

There was a lot of exuberance by our leaders of old pre and post independence. Some of the actors were not as innocent as we imagined, and they could never have imagined that their roles would have far reaching consequences to the extent of where Nigeria is today.

For a glimpse at the roles that some forerunners played, read:

British intelligence reports on how Ironsi took over: https://dailytrust.com/amp/british-intelligence-reports-on-how-ironsi-took-over-3

My take: No side was completely innocent. All Nigerians need to have a seat and discuss about the past, acknowledge the present state of affairs, and sue for a better future by agreement. Then we can begin to build a nation, which can actually happen quickly if we acknowledge all differences and grievances of the past.

The SW had wanted state pol ice since 1999. Then it appeared pointless because both North and SE/SS won't support it. Even the Igbo Senate leaders killed it. Unfortunately in 2003 SW only had full senators from Lagos in AD yet they still presented it. Even their PDP Yoruba brothers voted against it.
Today it's still in their bill for the upcoming debate. Now 22 years after it has a 75% chance of succeeding because others are begging to see the light including those whose opposition was most vehement

You can't,in a democracy, have your way at the snap of the finger. You negotiate and educate. That is the difference between the SE and the SW
Its the difference between Brains and Emotions
If the bill had started in 99 just like state police by now it will be ripe for passage but rather than do that they'd rather turn themselves into another Talibans and their land into Biafranistan

You guys are too emotional to achieve anything. Emotions only work in an autocratic setting like the Talibans. Only intelligent people can navigate democracy successfully

That same greed plaguing them led to their failure during the civil war. Imaging them oppressing the SS so terribly during the short lived and illfated Biafra, this led to their sabotage by the oppressed tribes.
Even if the get their Biafranistan today only their 5 states will go with them.

In terms of oppression and their expansionist tendencies they are far worse than the fulani they love to demonize
You started well by stating historical facts but you allowed your deep-seated hated for the Igbos to smear your message.
How did the Igbos oppress the SS people during the war? Care to tell us?
Are you honestly saying that there are no Igbos in SS? Or perhaps, you are just another unfortunate drunk who thinks that his jaundiced opinions matter in the scheme of things.

But nlamdi asinwikwe is an ijaw man, or are you trying to tell us that paternity is claimed from step father, or do you think Jonathan was named azikiwe by his grandma by mistake.
As for ojukwu and Ken Saro wiwa, what exactly do you want ojukwu to do, my father was stationed in pH when Saro wiwa betrayed ojukwu, and more than three hundred biafran soldiers, and a little above two thousand Nigerian soldiers died in the stand off, now he's having problem with the same people, he betrayed his people to, and you want ojukwu to interfere, or are you saying his head is more important than the head of close to 2300 men lost on both side.

When bigwig politicians were making suggestions about what should be in the Nigerian constitution in 1954, Chief Obafemi Awolowo stated that the constitution should allow any state or tribe that wanted to break up and leave Nigeria to do so.

Furthermore, Nnamdi Azikiwe, a strong supporter of One Nigeria, saw no rationale for Awolowo's suggestion and opposed it, arguing that the country should remain united till the end of time.

The participants at the conference, on the other hand, seemed very interested in the topic that Awolowo brought up and how Nnamdi Azikiwe battled it, so they granted both of them one day to clarify their positions before determining whether or not to allow secession in the constitution.

Furthermore, on debating day, Awolowo clarifies his point with several reasons. He cites the Soviet Union and Western Australia as examples of countries that allowed people to secede peacefully.

However, following Awolowo's speech, Azikiwe gives numerous reasons why he opposes it. He claims that attempting to break away and question Nigeria's unity is a betrayal of one's country and should not be considered.

Furthermore, it was reported that these topics sparked numerous debates before Oliver Littleton and Lord Chandos came to their aid, stating that permitting for secession in the constitution is not advisable.

Furthermore, this is one of the factors that led to war 967, when Ojukwu attempted to secede the Igbo people from Nigeria and the Gowon and other people opposed him because what he wanted to do violated our constitution and was treasonous.

What are the key takeaways?

The lesson learned is that our forefathers who fought for independence were willing to go to great lengths to ensure that Nigeria remained one, and we, the people of this generation, should follow in their footsteps and seek unity because there is power in our oneness

Another lesson learned is that demanding the Oodua Nation and Biafra is not permitted under our constitution. It is treasonous or may lead to a war that none of us wants.

You just assumed it isn't possible through the Senate.

You'd be suprised the national debates and attention this move will generate, it just might pull through with a bit of compromise.

Let me put it this way. To add referendum to the constitution, you will need at least two thid majority vote of not only the Senate, but also the House of reps. Di you know what that means?

It means you will need 73 Senators out of 109, and 240 out of 360 rep members to vote for referendum.

How will you convince 73 Senators and 240 rep members to vote for something that could be used to break up Nigeria?

Lets talk about something else

Most Yoruba, the fools, always believe the craps which were released by the silly propaganda machines based in western region of Nigeria. Was Azikwe the final arbiter of what should be included in Nigerian constitution during era of 1954? The above crap reminds me the idiotic contention that Lt Col Francis Fajuyi defended Aguiyi Ironsi and wanted to die with him. What a dunce.

Reading just like rational thinking is the hardest job description for an IPOB miscreant.

Inspite of the detailed explanations of 2 different opinions which necessitated postponement of debates for both points to be considered, you are still talking about final arbiter.

The greatest problem is your inability to engage your minds as against emotions that is your forte.
