Saul is no more a midfield general oooo for Diego someone to throw him out on Loan ,him not making the Spanish team for the euros should tell you alot

There was no time self Saul was even a regular at the Spanish national team with too many top midfielders

That is how bad that CAR match dropped us. If we win our next two games, no matter what Egpyt does, it would not be enough points to jump 8 places and overtake us at 36. Their next two games and the Arab cup ( suppose they win it all) is simply not enough.

Note that Arab cup games are given the lowest weight as they are friendly games played outside of the international schedule.

Another day, another ranking and no African team in the top 15. People are hoping that SE doesn’t step lower than top 5. Personally, I don’t care or mind. Infact, let’s be drawn with whomever. Based on the football politics, biased officiating, I don’t expect any African team to advance past the round of 16. I am even tired of rejoicing at a tournament that my continent has never and might never ever Win. Corrupt UEFA has set the rankings to favor their own

I am thinking we should explore the option of playing those beatable European countries above us to go up in subsequently international break where it is possible to include a friendly.

2 Attackers That Gernot Rohr Should Stop Ignoring
Franklysports
While Nigeria's forward line is not lacking when it comes to quality, there are still better options upfront than the likes of Onuachu who is clearly having a nightmare time with the eagles. These are two players who could perform better than Onuachu, but have been ignored by the coach.

1. Taiwo Awoniyi.

Everyone at Liverpool's academy could testify to this man's quality as he was a star among them. However, he has been tossed around on numerous loan deals and was finally sold to Union Berlin this year. Even though Liverpool didn't accept him, it doesn't mean that his loan deals were a failure.

At Kalmar under 21, he scored once and assisted twice in just 2 appearances, at Nijmegen under 21 he scored 5 times and assisted once in 6 appearances for the club, however, he would score only three times for the senior team. He had a bad time at Mainz and Frankfurt as he managed to score just one goal, but at Royal Excel Mouscron, he found the net 21 times and laid 10 assists in 47 games.

For Union Berlin, He has already scored a total of 10 goals and has 6 assists in just 31 games for the club, but unfortunately, he is yet to represent Nigeria at the senior level.

2. Josh Maja.

Josh Maja has represented Nigeria once back in 2019 but is yet to even be called up by Gernot Rohr since then despite his incredible stats.

He currently plays for Bordeaux where he has scored 11 times In 48 appearances, but was sent to Fulham last season on a loan where he scored a hat-trick on his debut. He was also brilliant at Sunderland, scoring 16 times in 49 appearances.

If we managed to top Egypt in next FIFA ranking (November) I'm sure 80% sure that they won't be able to top us before the WC/playoff draw

but my WHY ARE WE AFRAID OF DROPPING OUT OF THE TOP 5, as we're hoping to be at the top 5 in other to avoid sen, morr, tuni, Algeria.. Should we be praying that we should avoid them at AFCON proper?, caus to win AFCON we have to beat At least 2 out of those 4, either ourter, semi and Final

and we dey claim say na me get beat Squad pass for Africa

Rohr's tactical ineptitudeness is the reason some of you are still clamouring for Moses. We don't need moses to rejoin the team before we can be world beater.

Before you bring in the hate argument, moses was once my favourite player (a namesake too)

I knew his time was up after that our match against Croatia in World cup.

Not that I expected us to beat croatia but the way he was wasting the ball in the final third by falling needlessly made me wish we had taken Uzoenyi instead.

Make we move on abeg

To be frank, world cup qualificafion is priority. As the new Ghanaian cosch stated, AFCON isn't even a priority right now.

Potential AFCON call-ups from each team within the Premier League. Teams could be without their star players for up to 8 games (6 PL + 2 FA Cup) depending how well their nations do.

Well Watford, Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester are royally fvcked...

Test your football knowledge

As a manager you are bottom of the league, 6 points off the nearest club and you are given the choice to sign either Van Dijk or Lewandowski to survive relegation, who do you sign and why

If only he knew how nauseating those puerile antics of his were for someone as muscular and strong as he. Isaac Success followed same diving route and i automatically took him off my radar too.

My opinion is that the January AFCON sometimes become detrimental to the careers of African players, truth is some teams would decide against signing too many african players because of afcon. I remember that Oliseh back in the days lost his shirt at Juventus after an AFCON. I really hope the timing could be changed honestly.
