Senator Shehu Sani is of the opinion that the management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, should be held responsible for the abduction of two corpers in Zamfara state, Reports.

From The Information Gathered By , Iorliam Jennifer Awashima, pictured below, and one of her colleagues were on their way to the NYSC camp in Kebbi State for the 2021 Batch C Stream One orientation course when they were abducted alongside other passengers in a commercial bus.

Reacting to the news via his Facebook page today, Sani averred that the leadership of the scheme must be held responsible and accountable for the abduction. He wrote;

''Jenifer Iorliam,a youth Corper posted to Kebbi was kidnapped by terrorists in Zamfara. A ransom is now placed on her head and one other colleague of hers called Joseph.The NYSC should be held responsible and accountable.They posted them,they must rescue them or secure their release by all means possible.''

You see this country and selfishness and stupidity and foolishness. Would NYSC tell me now that they arent aware f the insecurity in that part of the country? Why would they insist on posting people to such polarised places? Too bad! Too bad!

I know they are afraid of scrapping the NYSC because of the looting opportunity they have but why not recommend for a restructuring that endangering the lives of the youths.

my point exactly. There is nothing that would make any ward of mine go to the north for anything, much less the waste of time called NYSC. Like parents actually feel they don't have a choice?? Like it amazes me that their parents actually consented to them going. How do you see fire, and willingly walk into it by telling yourself you don't have a choice? Why not pass bill and have president buhari to sign it into law aimed at banning youth corp members from traveling anywhere outside their homes. Wait a minute because I am not finished. Let pass a bill and have president Buhari to sign it into law----- banning NYSC for the next ten years because Nigeria is not safe to live or work.

I told you guys in 2015 that president Buhari is an illiterate---meaning he is slow in decision making and has demonstrated poor judgement in the past. We have seen evidence of that now. Since Buhari was elected in 2015 , Nigeria has become a laughing stock around the world. 900,000 Nigerians, excluding those unaccounted for killed and 10 million people driven out of their homes.

I graduated at 28, but my school senate approved my result after I clocked 30. I could have paid my way to the camp, just like most of my colleagues who were above 35. I couldn't come to terms with the possibility of traveling a very far distance by land in this period of insecurity
