You can get a part time job.
I dunno about the HND stuff, I suggest you write to your preferred school

mekanta7 nice to come upon your thread.

I'm currently studying at Aptech on ( Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering ). My school is directly affiliated with Middlesex University and I have the option to do a top-up degree program for 10months roughly at the Mauritius outreach campus in Flic en Flac.

My friends ( students ) who've been to Mdx Mauritius have had nice things to say about the school and the clean environment but nothing solid on getting a Software Engineering job & renewing the 1 year student visa.

How long is your school program and what course of study?

I'm on Hospitality course..

Secondly I don't know why your friends in Mauritius has denied you further information about the future of your program in the sense that its among the in-demand professions here.
Is it from the barber or from the barbee... ?

You move to Malta or the UK, I know Middlesex has campus in these two countries. Forget Dubai campus
Merci

Lastly renewing visa in Mauritius is as easy as getting a dubai visa.
As a matter of facts, some companies do work visas for Indians. They pull them all the way from India to Mauritius in large numbers, that's why the country is more infested with Indians.

Thanks for the response.

They didn’t really deny me that information per se, but most of them end up coming back to Nigeria to work.

Yes, I know Software engineering is highly in-demand. I work remotely for a company in Austen, Texas, that’s applying Internet of Things ( IoT ) to health care. I.e fall detection machine learning systems using Raspberry Pi and detection hardware. I’m also ramping up my cloud certifications and stuff.

I know about the Middlesex campus in the UK ( that’s the HQ campus at Hendon ). Currently I’m just considering the Mdx campuses available to me as a student, especially with a view to immigration opportunities available after my program ends. ( Malta, Dubai, Mauritius & UK ). UK is a great option but the cost is very high & Mauritius comes next. I don’t know much about the Dubai campus and i only see Dubai as a tourist center, not somewhere i want to school & work for a long time.

Thanks for the responses. I still have a few months to decide though.

Computer science I think has a higher tuition fee, MAYBE around 4k to 6k...
And no, they don't request for IELTS

I just checked several institutes and their tuition fees is about 900k to 1.5m naira … I used a site to get the prices freeapply or so.
How true is this?…

Move to Mauritius and explore the Island, I see no reason why the Island shouldn't favor you bro.
You will get a part time work while studying, then you will also get a full time work when you're done with your studies. You can easily move to the US or anywhere after your course.
Why would some of your friends go back to Nigeria after studying here? They could have easily moved to a better country, I'm still wondering..
If you live in Mauritius for 4years you can apply for their passport which is the strongest in Africa and more valuable than Turkish passport...
Choose your path wisely though..

Generally their procedures are the same with UK. Most schools don't charge for application fees.
Get your application documents ready and narrow down your search. Send inquiry emails to schools and wait for their response.
The cheapest courses are the hospitality and business management courses.
If your documents pass the evaluation process, they will invite you to apply to the program.
You pay your part tuition, send your documents hard copy to Mauritius and they apply for your visa from Mauritius once they receive your documents. When your visa is out, you pay up and japaa...
At the Airport you will be required to show proof of everything from application down to payment....

Another thing you guys should have in mind is that Mauritius Immigration is very strict. They will deport you because of the least mistake. They deported 3 guys that were on the same flight with me... I really felt bad for those guys... after all the money spent... OMG...
Just like God to Moses, seeing the promise land but you won't enter.
They ask you questions about your intended course.
