Lukaku is a Cf, in fact one of the reasons he grew unhappy at Man u was because he was deployed to the wings during Ole time. He plays striker for inter, he plays same for Belgium and he is/was banging goals at both sides. In fact, I feel one of the reasons he left inter was because he was assured of the Cf role in the team (aside his love for Chelsea).

I wholly agree with User Opinion, give it time, that's why they have training drills. All these things is just understanding and synergy and it starts from training which needs time to materialise.

Remember, even Lukaku said he hates been called a poacher, meaning he can work on that fluid movement you're talking about

Chelsea have players for the future.
Armando Borja & Livramento are showing good promise at Southampton, although it is still early days but they are slotting in well.
I watched Southampton game against Burnley yesterday and they played well regardless of their goals.

Same with Trevor Chalobah and Billy Gimour who are not doing badly for their age.

There's no reason why, we should not sit with the top teams and play good football for the next 6years with Thomas Tuchel in charge.

When rumours were flying around in the summer that he was unhappy with playing time at City, that Apari wanted to sell him, i dey hope say make Chelsea look him way.

I like the way he plays football. Smooth football, not afraid to dribble and creates (plays very well in attack & central midfield). It reminded me of Juan Mata days at Chelsea, although Mata scores more goals than B.Silva.

Yesterday's result kinda increased my confidence of us winning the league. I know it's just Norwich and I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic considering that we've also started the last 4 seasons very well too only to be shambolic and lose our heads from late November period to mid January.

But this time feels very different. I've fallen in complete love with tuchel. I've never been a fan of players since I started watching football rather I've been a fan of coaches which is why I'm always heartbroken when they're sacked.
But it has to be said that tuchel is proving to be the best coach we've ever had in the modern era.
What marks tuchel out is his ability to both develop players while being tactically innovative. He sets up a structure that makes it easy for players to adapt to while playing to their strength.

Before the season started, who could have thought that players like malanga sarr, chalobah, loftus cheek, Barkley and Alonso would play an impactful role in our season?? These were all light or dead weights waiting to be shipped out and here we are early into the season and every single squad member has been utilized to satisfactory degrees. Every single player satisfied knowing that he will be given their chance to prove themselves.

Our squad depth is now unparalleled due to this effective man management. Every single player comes in and immediately slots in comfortably.

I see us winning big things. I'm cautiously optimistic but this time does feel very different. One can feel something special cooking at Stamford bridge. We have played almost all the top teams and still top the table, let's see if we can build a healthy lead at the top before end of January. I trust tuchel to take us past our festive fixture curse. I can't wait for us to win the club world cup too.

Long may this happiness last. Let's make our rivals drool and be high on jealousy.

As in ehh I personally didn't think Alonso will still be useful. I remember reading that the club wanted to sell him when we wanted to buy Lukaku, and here he is still going strong. Not to talk of Barkley and loftus cheek who have been a shell of themselves for 2-3 years now.
I tell you, tuchel has worked wonders with his squad. No coach has handled an entire squad as effectively as he has. If you fu©k up, straight to the bench for another person to prove themselves and give you the time to be mentally prepared again.
All these while getting the results needed.

This guy has won the top 10 coaches in world football. That's very admirable.

We had the opportunity to establish a reasonable point gap when we played city but TT fumbled it. He went into the match with a negative approach - defending and hoping for a counter. Same city he defeated comfortably 3 on the trot last season.

Here is where I wholly agree with havertz10. TT should just go back to his attacking footie. It paid off last season. Apart from arsenal and spurs who are not even having a good season, we haven't really impressed against the big dogs.. this is unlike last season where we almost outplayed every big team that faced us. Madrid, city etc...

Anyway..fingers crossed. I am not totally convinced that we can win this league but I hope we do.
