I only pity these military personnels.

What they are facing in Maiduguri won’t be the same with what they would face In the East.

The igbos are rightly behind these IPOB guys.

No how the jihadi government would win with such approach.

Don’t be biased, it’ll be be easier to rig election now

The worst thing that can happen to Nigeria is not being able to conduct election in any part of the country especially the southeast.
A bad leader will always have bad advisers around him.
This may be bad for the state actors I don't see how it's bad for the federal actors
What am sure of is the fact that there will be election no matter how shabby, and results will follow

It's very simple, FG should release mazi nnamdi Kanu before November 4th or they should completely forget about anambra election coming on 6th November, for those of you saying nonsense that ipob is shooting itself on the foot, we have made it clear that majority of the people that constitute the indigenous people of biafra are not interested in having any affair with the Nigerian politics, ipob is not interested in any Nigerian useless politics which has over 61 years benefited only the greedy and selfish politicians who care nothing about the plight of the masses but their own individual wealth accumulation, we cannot continue to enrich the wealth of these few individuals who see themselves as politicians at the detriment of the masses, the voice of ipob is the voice of the igbo populace, release mnk or forget election in anambra state.
Bury that thought! Nobody will release a criminal like Kanu. The idiot will rot in jail.

This election will be a true test of who's more preferred in the East between the FG and IPOB.
But if IPOB really want to achieve their aim, it's not by boycotting elections but by trying to get their own people in power.
you have a very big point but it is not the only solution. As it stands now, the Ipob is using this election not holding to grab the president by the balls.
They can get the Fg to negotiate with them by helping them fix the terrible federal presence in the East but if they let this election go, the next way they can hold the Fg is the presidential election and you know with that, the grip won't be effective since election will still hold in other states to determine the president by that time (2023) and if the governorship elections in South east doesn't hold by 2023, then it will be a problem not to Buhari (who has endured the pressure any longer) but to the new president who will take it as a new challenge and the problem will continue to linger. The truth is that the igbos have ignored government for too long and government has gotten used to ignoring them too. I don't know if you are Igbo, but if u visit Igbo land u will weep. The Fg road, the Fg hospital, the Fg universities are all in a mess but if you see the military presence u will marvel. Do u know that niger state alone is bigger than the entire south east? Yet niger state has 14,000 police men to curb crime. Anambra alone at the moment has 35,600 police men in the state. The only way to see federal presence in the East is the number of armed forces there which is overwhelming considering that before this year the East can be said to be one of the most peaceful region in the country

IPOB are a virus. If only 100 people vote that day, let's say 7 from each local government, a new governor will emerge which may not be the wish of the people. The party that controls the military can well organise these 100people. APC and the incumbent party will gain from this situation.
How can IPOB be suffering the people it claims to be fighting for by taking away their right to vote and grounding economic activities? Imagine them threatening a week sit at home? Who suffers this anqmbrarians or Buhari? If truly Buhari hates igbo, then he must be enjoying the shameful tactics of IPOB.

YORUBA people are so brainless. I thought my YORYBADS were smarter?
You're an Igbo hater.

Igbo's don't need your opinion here

Yorubanzas are having sleepless nights over Anambra election which doesn't concern them.

Huhn..

Biafra will come , but not now .

I'll say this : that in 60yrs time, the reality of biafra would be an eventuality in this nation.

But why ipob is upping the crescendo to volcanic proportions is what I cannot understand..

Elections should hold .

Don't tie the freedom of a population to the mistake of one albino

Nnamdi KANU has helped Nigerians to better understand that the north has an agenda to subjugate the rest of Nigeria. I am not from the east but I think in all honesty he should be celebrated for that. Whether Biafra is achieved or not, I believe his revelations and agitations has started changing the dynamics of politics in Nigeria. For instance, its the first time ever the entire southern states are clamouring for presidency to be zoned to the south.

False report. Even if it's true, politicans value elections more than anything else. They will recruit ad hoc staff from DSS, Police and the Military. The most important thing is for election to be held in Anambra State on 6th November, 2021, and a "winner" emerge to govern the State for the next 4 years.

N.B.
For those of you in my mention asking who will vote, if the process is militarized? The answer is not far fetched, Nigeria operates a simple majority balloting system, it doesn't matter how many Anambrains are registered voters, what matter is how many of them would be accredited to vote on that day. If only 100 people turn out to vote, they're all accredited and they cast their votes. Whoever scores highest among the 100 votes will succeed Willy Obiano
While it is correct to say that the results will count no matter how poor the turnout is, on the contrary, the law is that a Governorship candidate must, in addition to having the highest number of votes cast (as you rightly stated) have a minimum of a quarter of the votes cast in at least two-thirds of the LGAs in the State. See Section 179(2) (a) and (b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).

This will only favor Andy Uba and APC. These jihadists can even recruit security personnel and mercenaries from other states to be adhoc staff. Later they will come back here crying how they have a fulani governor.
IPOB cannot withstand the NA in a open battle which is the only way you can stop the election from holding. They have succeeded in militarizing the election with their banza strategy.
Your reasoning would have made some sense if you didn't present it in very biased tones.

And at the bolded you are actually supporting the fact that the polls will be stillborn in Anambra........does it occur to you that if there is a full-scale confrontation that the bloody Civilians who constitute the ad-hoc umpire will flee for dear life.

Also understand that no voter will come and vote where there is outright violence. In previous elections voter apathy has been the norm because of the threat to peace not even full-scale violence being anticipated here.

Thirdly, the FG would have won unanimously if they had jettisoned primordial considerations and gone forward with the electronic voting implementation which by the way is the future and could be appropriated for today.
Re: Anambra 2021: Hundreds Of INEC Adhoc Workers Resign Leaving Pools In Jeopardy by wonder233: 8:49am On Oct 26, 2021
Don't mind them. I was an NYSC ad-hoc staff in Kebbi in that bloody 2011 elections, we had to run many miles to seek refuge in the 1-battallion dukku barracks in birnin kebbi when we started hearing of the slaughter of corpers going on in other parts of the north. If those guys in kebbi had joined in, we wouldn't have made it alive cos there was zero security. Even after the mayhem, they assured we would be heavily protected for the folowing weekend's governorship election, but it was a lie, there was zero security, nothing changed.
Till now, nobody was brought to justice for those killings. Buhari feels justified that he was robbed hence people can die, Goodluck on the other hand felt nothing else mattered so long he was going to be president another 4years.
phemmie06:
Why won't they resign when the lives are not secured, those corpers that were killed in 2011, were they not forgotten? Let the INEC chairman and all his lieutenants go and get the work done.

I remember I was trained to be an adhoc staff in 2017 anambra gubernatorial Elections, we were moved from Enugu michael okpara square to Alex ekweme square in oyi, anambra state but they were unable to assign us where to work due to low turn out on election day thus Inec didn't pay us for our efforts. If you're planning to join ad-hoc staff this year think again

These are the kind of mentions I hope to see, God bless you for being civil and more importantly, God bless whoever paid for your education.
The 100 votes is just an expression of my point in a worst case snenerio. No matter the carnage, election will hold in Anambra, a winner may not emerge from the first round of balloting, however all stakeholders will fight to ensure a civil rule, because a state of emergency will only worsen the situation. Whatever happens in Anambra State, Buhari has little or nothing to lose

FG should dialogue with Nnamdi Kanu who is at their disposal to avoid stories that touch the heart.
Recent events should inform everyone that the entire IGBOS are solidly behind IPOB whether they are expressing it openly or not.

The worst mistake will be conducting, and declaring results from an unpopular and near zero attendance of the voters to the election

Is it Nigeria that says igbo should never unite? Aren't the present inept leaders the same set of people that will lead us in Biafra? Isn't biafra going to contain such sentimental archaic people like u if it becomes a reality?
Senseless fellow. It's high time u realised we are our own self greatest obstacle to moving ahead. We are never united. We still very much practise osu caste.
