BigBelleControl:you have a very big point but it is not the only solution. As it stands now, the Ipob is using this election not holding to grab the president by the balls. They can get the Fg to negotiate with them by helping them fix the terrible federal presence in the East but if they let this election go, the next way they can hold the Fg is the presidential election and you know with that, the grip won't be effective since election will still hold in other states to determine the president by that time (2023) and if the governorship elections in South east doesn't hold by 2023, then it will be a problem not to Buhari (who has endured the pressure any longer) but to the new president who will take it as a new challenge and the problem will continue to linger. The truth is that the igbos have ignored government for too long and government has gotten used to ignoring them too. I don't know if you are Igbo, but if u visit Igbo land u will weep. The Fg road, the Fg hospital, the Fg universities are all in a mess but if you see the military presence u will marvel. Do u know that niger state alone is bigger than the entire south east? Yet niger state has 14,000 police men to curb crime. Anambra alone at the moment has 35,600 police men in the state. The only way to see federal presence in the East is the number of armed forces there which is overwhelming considering that before this year the East can be said to be one of the most peaceful region in the country |

powerkey:I am a pure igbo with brain though. I have my people from the village complaining bitterly about the situation. Schooling is interrupted. Business is interrupted...Things av gone worse courtesy of IPOB. How many of those my opinion is wrong. I just seriously wonder how people like u with heads obviously don't use it. Are u cursed. Can't u just ever be reasonable? If something ain't working must u stupidly stick to it? Chai |

Nnamdi KANU has helped Nigerians to better understand that the north has an agenda to subjugate the rest of Nigeria. I am not from the east but I think in all honesty he should be celebrated for that. Whether Biafra is achieved or not, I believe his revelations and agitations has started changing the dynamics of politics in Nigeria. For instance, its the first time ever the entire southern states are clamouring for presidency to be zoned to the south. |

Urbanchampion:While it is correct to say that the results will count no matter how poor the turnout is, on the contrary, the law is that a Governorship candidate must, in addition to having the highest number of votes cast (as you rightly stated) have a minimum of a quarter of the votes cast in at least two-thirds of the LGAs in the State. See Section 179(2) (a) and (b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended). |

Tomahawk99:Your reasoning would have made some sense if you didn't present it in very biased tones. And at the bolded you are actually supporting the fact that the polls will be stillborn in Anambra........does it occur to you that if there is a full-scale confrontation that the bloody Civilians who constitute the ad-hoc umpire will flee for dear life. Also understand that no voter will come and vote where there is outright violence. In previous elections voter apathy has been the norm because of the threat to peace not even full-scale violence being anticipated here. Thirdly, the FG would have won unanimously if they had jettisoned primordial considerations and gone forward with the electronic voting implementation which by the way is the future and could be appropriated for today. |

Don't mind them. I was an NYSC ad-hoc staff in Kebbi in that bloody 2011 elections, we had to run many miles to seek refuge in the 1-battallion dukku barracks in birnin kebbi when we started hearing of the slaughter of corpers going on in other parts of the north. If those guys in kebbi had joined in, we wouldn't have made it alive cos there was zero security. Even after the mayhem, they assured we would be heavily protected for the folowing weekend's governorship election, but it was a lie, there was zero security, nothing changed. Till now, nobody was brought to justice for those killings. Buhari feels justified that he was robbed hence people can die, Goodluck on the other hand felt nothing else mattered so long he was going to be president another 4years. phemmie06: |

I remember I was trained to be an adhoc staff in 2017 anambra gubernatorial Elections, we were moved from Enugu michael okpara square to Alex ekweme square in oyi, anambra state but they were unable to assign us where to work due to low turn out on election day thus Inec didn't pay us for our efforts. If you're planning to join ad-hoc staff this year think again |

Gavel:These are the kind of mentions I hope to see, God bless you for being civil and more importantly, God bless whoever paid for your education. The 100 votes is just an expression of my point in a worst case snenerio. No matter the carnage, election will hold in Anambra, a winner may not emerge from the first round of balloting, however all stakeholders will fight to ensure a civil rule, because a state of emergency will only worsen the situation. Whatever happens in Anambra State, Buhari has little or nothing to lose |

thinkmoney:but you stupidly stick to Nigeria despite it not working since its creation. Can you now see that you are the cursed and senseless one here. When you see one idiot from Igboland spewing such rubbish, just know that idiot is a government worker in one of the Southeast States and he is benefiting from the government of the day and that's also the reason why he is against the IPOB. It very much possible that you are from Imo State and you are working in Uzodimma's government if at all you are truly from the East. We know so many of your type who Uzodimma hired to be writing nonsense online. |

FG should dialogue with Nnamdi Kanu who is at their disposal to avoid stories that touch the heart. Recent events should inform everyone that the entire IGBOS are solidly behind IPOB whether they are expressing it openly or not. The worst mistake will be conducting, and declaring results from an unpopular and near zero attendance of the voters to the election |

CallmeGideon:Your type is the problem with Nigeria. Always attaching senseless sentiments to things. Your type will also be the problem with biafra if ever it becomes a reality. Sentimental people are retrogressive. Is it Nigeria that says igbo should never unite? Aren't the present inept leaders the same set of people that will lead us in Biafra? Isn't biafra going to contain such sentimental archaic people like u if it becomes a reality? Senseless fellow. It's high time u realised we are our own self greatest obstacle to moving ahead. We are never united. We still very much practise osu caste. Some of us from other region detest people from Ebonyi, while some anambrarians feel they are the elites and automatically should occupy the topmost positions. Will biafra automatically right this our attitude and mentality? |
