Today been the 25th day of oct 2021, I had a terrible and shocking experience at computer village Ikeja. I went for a transaction at my bank around allen junction aromire street, on my way back i got to under bridge looking for a bus going to my direction at the park. As i was abt boarding a bus going to Egebeda i was attacked unconsciously i felt my phone left my pocket and the others held me like a pin b4 i could regain myself phone was gone, and all boys holding me gone too disappearing in the thin air luckily for me my money was intact, the phone is not up to a month, i bought it around oct 8, phone is infinix note 10, the pack and imei are available i dnt know if the phone can be recovered via tracking.

Pleaase folks be careful around computer village ikeja and also be vigilant. Of a truth i was carried away with some thoughts on my head computer village today gave me a shocking early birthday gift two days earlier.

Many other banks don't, at least I'm sure of GTB and Access Bank.

Zenith bank requests for pin. These banks that don't should try and do something and attach pin to recharge.

It is very mischievous of you to use the above misleading headline and putting computer village in a bad light. From the narration, the incidence happened at Ikeja Underbridge not Computer village. Narrating a story just to grace front page. I fear who no fear you, you must have a very pathetic personality. Say things as it is nah.
You better change that your headline.

You guys should stop stealing and defrauding people around that place.

I had a similar experience about 2 years ago at exactly the same place; under the bridge.

I accidentally bumped into a guy and after apologizing the guy started acting nice and before I know it, he took my phone from pocket, whilst trying to demonstrate what he would have done if I hadn't apologized. I said ok but as I was about to turn I noticed that my pocket was lighter and I immediately asked in a low tone to hand the phone over before I shout on him. He quietly handed the phone over and left and I walked away.

But ever since then, I have been in awe of Ikeja boys. Those guys can do and undo.

The other similarity between us was that I had over 200k on me that fateful day.

Nice share, in your dealings always try to be conscious and careful to avoid stories that touch. Btw, have you guys tried the new Oraimo Freepod 3? It's got a convertible make and the water resistant feature is really cool.

The first thing to do is call your bank, the first thing the theif will tampered with is his bank account and trying to make a transaction, so you call your bank that your phone has been stolen and they will block the account immediately
No be Nigeria it will take you decades before they receive the call

sending airtime from one phone to another still require a pin except that you are first timer of airtime transfer, otherwise they won't be able to transfer the airtime out
It doesn't require anything bro once you insert the simcard on another phone you can buy airtime for 1m

I don't know how these criminals do it, but they usually call the network provider to change the transfer PIN. I remember when my phone got stolen, they actually changed my PIN.
Is not possible except if they have your Bank details like date of birth ... Bvn

Since your phone was stolen at the time you wanted to enter bus going to egbeda, it is wrong to tag computer village as reason for your unfortunate experience.

You were simply taught a lesson everyone in Lagos should learn. You cant be in Lagos and at the bus stop and be dull to the extent they picked your pocket.

It could have happened anywhere e.g Oshodi, iyana ipaja, Obalende etc.

Sorry for your loss but the place they picked your pocket isnt computer village, it was at the bus stop. Some people reading this now will think its inside the market they stole your phone.

Next time be smart and sharp at every Lagos bus stop.

If you can get this guy am sure he's among the gang that snatched your phone.pls do report him to the nearest police station as suspect no 1.

I'm not talking from the bank, I mean transfering the airtime from the owner SIM card to their personal sim card. Because if they use your SIM card to buy airtime directly from your bank , it is of no use to them except they transfer the airtime to their personal line which I believe require pin to do that. Otherwise, the airtime will still be in your SIM card and if your are lucky to block it, you will see the airtime from your SIM when you retrieved it back.

The question is, how did they make use of the airtime when they can't send the airtime to their personal line

probably maybe you didn't set the transfer pin before. If you want to transfer airtime for the first time, most network use default pin as 0000 or 1234 to change your transfer pin and after that, the only pin that will be usable is the one you set and they won't be able to know it or change it. And without knowing it, they can't transfer any airtime from your SIM card except that you didn't change the pin from default to your own

You can destroy the phone or even block it since you have the serial and IMEI.
