Yorubas will clamour for the presidency to be zoned to the south in the spirit of fairness but will reject it being micro-zoned to the southeast as the only region in the south that has not yet produced a president. You will hear them say power is not given on a platter of gold you work for it yet they don't want the north to work towards retaining power beyond 2023. Yorubas with amala sense.

The truth is that "National Leader" is a mere quote as it is a non existent office. Of all the big players that came together to form APC, Tinubu was the only one that never gained any real position from the union. Hence the need to create that appellation for him.

I disagree with you. He did this on purpose as he sees himself as a Capone in the party. His intention was to plant his men in strategic positions and to be controlling them from behind the scene. He didn't envisaged a time will come when his men will be booted out like what happened to Oshiomole, he didn't also envisage that some of his loyalist will turn against him. The kind solidarity wey my people dey show Asiwaju Tinubu confam say him na true leader. From the old to the young, Asiwaju is well loved by us.

Not sure if I want Tinubu for president, but I find him very fascinating for two reasons:

1. How He became so influential is incredible. There is no politician in the past three decades that has managed to amass this level of influence and power in Nigeria. Its not just money at play here.

2. For all the agbero talk that follows him, His thought process if you put bias aside is very interesting. My favourite quote from him when He was Governor is 'Power is never served a la carte' - eerily machiavellian, but very apt. It shows you the inner workings of a Man who then still under the thumbs of Afenifere would later grow to become a GodFather himself. His penchant for long-range planning reminds me of the villain Moriarty.

3. I find the logo on his cap very interesting. Somehow, He tapped into using a symbol/totem to build his followership. This is not particularly common knowledge, but symbols have been used by men who understand the psychology of power for millennia - even before Constantinople used the cross as his banner.

BAT is a very interesting man.
