what's the essence, when the country is still going through hard times.
banks has already giving us that opportunity to do without physical cash, the govt is just looking for a way to loot More even the little money in our pocket.... why's the president really concern about money money money why not digitalize school, hospital, fire service, emergency units, police station etc. at least the poor and rich will benefit allot and we'll all celebrate him..
Meanwhile they said there is no network for e-voting but now there is network for e-money. Stupic people

This is one way to look at it. There are a few advantages to moving away from physical cash. The first is that you eliminate huge cost of producing and maintaining paper currency. The polymer notes cost more to maintain than the previous paper notes and they used to be imported from somewhere; not sure if they are now produced by NSPMN.

Second is financial inclusion.

Third i can think of is security. If everyone was doing e-naira, it becomes easy to trace all financial transactions especially illicit ones. You cant hide e-naira inside soak-away or under mattress
It solves nothing that cashless policy hasn't solved. This project in my opinion is a ploy targeted at election bribing, rigging and settlement. Why eNaira when cashless is already running digital Naira.
It's a brainless attempt probably to outdo Ghana and most likely to use in forthcoming elections.

Nice one. It's fire for fire. I wonder how these sahelian terrorists think they can be smarter than southern youths who have gone, seen and conquered different areas all around the world. They will learn the hard way and we shall avenge our dead.
Death to the fulani controlled terrorist government.

In my honest opinion, I have read and read over and over again, but I still can't comprehend how eNaira is different from the Naira in my bank account that I can transfer to any other bank account. This feature which seems to be the flagship of the eNaira. The CBN banned crypto currency in Nigeria, but still went ahead to introduce eNaira which they claim use blockhchain technology. I don't think they know what they want. The best the CBN could do for Nigerians is to create an eDollar wallet where everyone will have access to forex without going to bank or bureau de change. This is how I think it should work:
1. You download the eDollar wallet and register.
2. Fund your eDollar wallet with Naira from your Naira bank account. Upon funding this eDollar wallet with Naira, your Naira automatically converts to dollars based on the CBN rate, which you can use to do do international transactions.
With this, there won't be any bureau de change or Aboki Fx to speculate the dollar price. The reason being that only the CBN will have control over the rate because the eDollar wallet belongs to them. Also, they will be able to monitor every dollar that goes out of this country for international transactions. There will also be a daily limit to the amount you can transact or transfer. Terrorists can be put under watch as there should be a law banning physical dollars in the circulation. Let all dollar transactions go through CBN eDollar wallet. In my opinion, I think the bereau de change will be out of business, the commercial banks will be boycotted and won't be able to cheat customers, speculators will not have anything to speculate and there will be one common dollar price.
More oil to your head. It's only young people in touch with present realities that can think up ideas like these.

Brilliant idea. However, how about Ghana creating e-naira wallets? Do you see any collision with the Federal Govt of Nigeria. Whatever your opinion will determine whether Nigeria can create e-Dollar wallet without the wrath of the United States of America. What do I know? The experts can enlighten us on it

Your problem is that you don't know and won't wish to learn.

We have two types of currencies
1. Fiat(paper money, physical money, controlled and centralised)
2. Crypto (soft money, online, structured by blochchain to be decentralized )

There is no middle one, no intermidate. You can't mix 1 and 2. Anything in between is not a form of currency. It's leg over to finish people like you. As long as someone have charge over it. It will be influenced and used for them.

Grow up. Common sense you don't have
I hope this will let him understand

The didn't just give bad review, their complain were genuine. Why rush to launch an app with so many errors and even forgot to add support button.

Even u new app developer will not make such mistake not to talk of an app built by the federal government. After they must have spent billions on naira for the app.
