In the 60s, Obanikoro that is now in the middle of Lagos, did not have electricity, and by the 70s, when the transformer on Bola Adewunmi blows up, which happened often, we lived in darkness. Electricity did not get to my own Ifon Osun until the late 70s.

Getting out of Lagos in the 60s was a nightmare. There was no express called Ikorodu Road, so it was single file from Yaba to Ikorodu, and getting to Ibadan was deadly. Ikorodu Road as you know it now was built in the 70s, and the express road to Ibadan was much later.

But all that is rather irrelevant. You just go check the lifespan expectancy of Nigerians before decolonisation and compare it to now to see if things have improved since then.
