Don't be daft. I was talking about the passenger being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Of course, it is clear that someone didnt do his job.
You are actually the daft person here. Even if the passanger was at the wrong place at the wrong time do you attribute that to village people? Guy go borrow sense.

People often make those kind of comments because they do not know how unseen forces of nature work. It's a question of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. There are those who could tell what moment in the future hold a bad or good omen. They can as well as well manipulates to the point of one being at the wrong spot at the wrong time or at the right spot at the right time. Haven't you experience coincidences before. Of course, most are just coincidence. But there are time everything appear pre-planned.

So, it's not that so-called village people will pull down a building all of a sudden. But there are those who know can foretell things to come, and could use such to mess up individuals or to benefit them, as they wish. This is a mysterious world.
A black man will never reason technically.. what a shame!

I am not an alien to such, I believe there is a place for everything.

Spiritual believes vary from individual to individual, and their experiences vary, I also have experiences as such, we are all connected.

But at the societal level, we need empirical processes or standards that are not subjective, this is why we ought to stick to the standards and protocols from what is generalized, which is not spirituality, but the knowledge that has been shown, proven, and can be seen by all, which is objective, and repeatable.

This helps us, to be more efficient, and less confused.

This does not mean we discard spirituality, it is also very important, it helps in the growth of the individual when he begins to understand and use spiritual principles, which will be evident, without even trying to force it on another person.
Spirituality is very important, it has its place, but does not override Logic
This has nothing to do with Spirituality ( after reflecting I do not know the source code of reality in its true essence), Lagos is known for this, it is peculiar, a logical person will ask questions, why is it peculiar to Lagos, when we begin to ask questions, we can then identify what behaviors encourage such,[s] and if logic could not answer it, then that is when you can explore the meta-physical[/s] ( lo see me talking nonsense, I don't have the right to tell anyone the order of things, it's left for individual, I had to cancel that, after reflecting on my statement.)

This is how to solve problems in a society, how has spiritual supertitions helped us solve problems

So i had to correct myself too because I reflected immediately, i do not know the source of reality, in its primal essence, but it's easier to prevent building collapses if we just followed the regulations etc.

Basically, what I believe has been proven it that superstitions are not really as they seem and an empirical thought process is more healthy for the public, so confusion is minimized and growth in mindset is basically societal not an individual spiritual jorney, which is necessary, even in the spiritual component. grin grin grin

Just looking at the rubbles, it's glaring that poor and substandard materials were used in building the structure. Imagine using 12mm iron to build pillars holding a 21 storey building

Exactly! It is so so sad. You could see at a glance the substandard materials.

Someone must have turned a blind eye during the construction.

The loss of life is just so unfortunate..

it seems tha building crash is the way Nigeria would crash , the story behind the building is 100% similar to Nigeria's story.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace
The issue is that we don't make anything or maintain standards.
The building is basically cement, sand, steel rods. Maybe with Dangote, we can say the cement is consistent. But the iron rods are mostly imported left right and center. Some are strong, some are soft. How many can you check?
They packed all and join together. At the critical place, the building will just collapse.

I read a mail online where the lead consultant washed his hands off the building supervision and requested he did not want to be part of the building process and the name of his company should be expunged from any materials relating to the building , obviously standards were compromised.

i have been discussing with architects and estate managers about this monumental disaster and i have since realised , at any point a crompromise is made , a seed of disaster has been sown ,be it in IT, Telecommunications, Civil contruction or the political life of a nation.

With all our spiritual superstitions, can you compare them to people who think logically and pratically?

When it is time to offer solutions, observe between people who are superstitious and people who are atheists.

The atheists have used more time to formulate a solution and will be comprehensive in offering solutions while a superstitious person may not be confident or clearly articulate.

Then there is also a science to spirituality itself, which is actually logical and based on principles, and not statements that have no basis.

I saw the picture before and after and at the pink point I saw the building already curving its so sad. Literally must have split at that point and pulled the rest because of the weight if they know what floor they are on they can still find them top floors will be closer to the ground and the bottom floors will be on top if my assessment is correct. Had someone just taken time and seen it from afar they could have at least demolished safely and started offer but because of funds we cut corners sad. May a miracle happen and also if it's a distraction from today egbon rora . Please everyone check your insurance policy number online and verify that its not their staff

They may survive lets keep praying

Like someone said, all the buildings in lagos were once sealed. But some how, they were unsealed. As far as I'm concerned, This is the outcome of corruption. In a way, it's good thing it's collapsing now, rather then when it becomes fully residential. My heart goes out to the labourers because in most cases, they are not told/aware of most of the background work. Their own is to come and do manual labour in order to afford a daily bread. I see some of them working on high rise buildings without harness belts. LASG needs to pay more attention to building constructions in the state and enforce any decision made regarding the building in question.
