why should it be so why? Directly and indirectly that Airport will create jobs in Anambra reducing crime and unemployment but the Nigeria government could not see it so if not what people will say the had to give in

This elephant project isn't really needed in Ebonyi for now. Personally, I feel this money ought to have been channelled to other capital project that would have impacts on the majorities of the classes of citizen in Ebonyi.
The airport after completion will be enjoyed by a very few percentage of the citizens who can afford it.
I feel from afar that the economy of the state may not be too bouyant for the maintenance of such project. If they have high patronage, they may survive but if it's otherwise, I see the project as a waste.
Most of our governors are quick to resolve on construction of airport because of their personal gains involved.
Let them look inward and embark on projects that will better a lot of citizen and not elephant project for the rich.

How many states in Nigeria has built international airports , so the first State to make attempt will most likely have challenges

This governor should channel his energy and resources in agriculture and mineral resources of the state and i can bet you investors will flood the state and he will generate revenues to take on projects.....most projects in the states are abandoned or uncompleted

Every state and Local Government headquarters will soon have international airport and cargo terminal. Well done
Re: Umahi Inspects Ebonyi International Airport, Promises To Complete It by ValeeLove(m): 10:52pm On Nov 01, 2021
The last time I was in Ebonyi, it didn't even have a local airport, you would have to travel to Enugu to use one. Now this governor, who has done amazing things that have kept me dumbfounded and in disbelief is constructing an international airport in the same state. Hmmn.

Is an airport economically viable for Ebonyi now? That fund should have been channelled into setting up industries..

Thanks, I was asking myself what is the per capital income of an average people living in ebonyi, how many can afford flying through the airport.
How quickly is the turn around time for the capital invested, let's assume its a capital project with long-term ROI but what immediate benefits can the project brings to entire state.
How many investors are willing to come inn as a result of this?

Fingers crossed, I won't castigate him now

Damn! This man is really serious with this project, I thought it would be one of those abandoned projects but he is glaringly clearing my doubt.

The project looks solid just like the one in Anambra, the firehouse looks grand, the terminal building looking imposing with a concrete based runway.

It seems sense is finally returning to our Eastern Guvnors against cutting corners while delivering public infrastructures; Anambra and Ebonyi as a case in point.

Ugwuanyi? Performing but for a state like Enugu, his performance is below par in public infrastructure.

Ikpeazu? He is waking up lately at the twilight of his administration with the remodeling of the Aba markets, Completion of new government house, road construction across Aba and a few other specs but that state needs imposing infrastructure not those cosmetic ones above (except the mkt), Abia State is an old state for God's sake.

Uzodinmma? Hmmmm, I can see his effort at road constructions and urban beautifications mostly Junction beautification but a state like Imo needs imposing infrastructure and not those Marykay ones.

Wonderful Analysis...... That of Imo state is on point!! Uzodimma only knows how to beautify junctions........

Ebonyi has so many solid minerals yet unharnessed and explored. Having an Airport would create an enabling atmosphere for many things including industries to thrive in the State. God bless SouthEast. God bless Ndigbo.

How would having an airport enhance this This project is super white elephant.....same guvnor was begging Buhari government for loan to complete same airport....absolutely awful and unneeded....what is the population of Ebonyi state....what is Internally generated revenue.....airport he already promised to hand over federal government....

Future President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The most sensible Igbo governor that has ever existed since the birth of Nigeria

The man who has been able to turn his state's little resources into something to speak of

The man whom despite the hatred expressed by other Igbos towards his state, has been able to keep IPOB/ESN/BNG/UGM from operating freely like they do in bigger states who feel they are old.

Because of David , God has smiled upon Isreal while the fake Jews are being killed by the Army of God and their master eating watery beans daily.

I salute this Governor.

Stop making noise. 70 years old man go just open mouth waaaahhhh dy talk rubbish. And before you go on with your hate speech I’m Igbo. Get your facts right.

But IPOB want to use our lack of Airports in the SE to justify their fraudulent agitation or secession or terrorism.
Never knowing state governments are permitted to build international airports.

The government should focus on building enabling environments by building airport, roads, schools, hospital security, clean water.
