Please disregard the statement by the Nigerian Army that it was IPOB that burnt Izombe, Oguta LGA, Imo State 3 weeks ago. Over 70 houses were burnt in Izombe and it was done by the Nigerian Army! Soon after this incident, a number of media houses including BBC, visited Izombe and saw the destruction. They interviewed Izombe people to ascertain what really happened. All of them said it was the Nigerian Army that burnt down their community, IPOB had nothing to do with it at all.
