Today I started the command training on vigil, it went better than I imagined. It was solely on the ‘sit’ command and I used the reward system , it wasn’t easy though but it was worth it

Vigil is exactly 10months

any reason as to why you did not start vigil on commands from 2 months

Vigil will be clocking 11months in few days, it’s been a crazy ride owning a big breed. The boy is always looking for things to spoil, from palm slippers, window nets, shoe and even drainage pipe etc. so I have decided to stop sparing the rod wink

Recently noticed he’s always licking his testicles, though it looks fine.

1year 12days

So after vigil clocked 1year I started giving him his food once per day but increased the food portion, Now he eats more at a go. I really Don’t take him out much these days because his weight makes it hard for me to control him so he’s always inside, so I’m Planning on getting a adult female Caucasian to keep him company.

As always, your observations are welcome.

Vigil’s meal ration has drastically increase, he now eats about 2-1/5 to 3kilos of food at a go. Had to pay monthly fee from a local restaurant to get food remnant/waste daily. Now I feed him once in a day. For the past 2 months we’ve hardly gone out on a walk , his size is a major reason.
Planning on getting a good adult female, so as to kickstart breeding good Caucasian dogs. Let me know if you need a stud around portharcourt and environs.

What do you feed your dog please as a puppy, I got a 7 week GSD but she doesn't eat the noodles I got for her that much. Don't they eat noodles?

sorry for replying late, around 7weeks I give vigil booster puppy dry food mix with pap and powder milk(plus egg most times), but I soaked the dry food to become softer because their teeth can’t grind it. And also chicken head or boiled eggs.
But you have to prepare these things very soft and don’t worry about your dog not eating much, they don’t eat heavy at such age so it’s advisable you feed him 4 times a day till he clocks 3month.
As per your noodles, pieces it very well into a pot and cook it to be very soft (and little wet). Let’s see the outcome

it all depends on your budget, you can add fish waste( I do get fish head and waste for free or a little token), you can put that to make it smell attractive for her.
Good thing she likes the booster
