Kai back in the days when we used to play "Rote"- short for "rotation" as multiple players play the a game simultaneously by going around the table in a circle and hitting the ball to the opposite end.

The other game was round robin. 7 or 8 players playing one on one in turns picking up 1 point each per game..until the first 3 or 4 people accumulate 7 points and then the rest are eliminated. Another elimination round begins until the two finalists get to play against each other to 11 or 21 points.
