Less than two months before the opening of the January transfer window, Chelsea and Nigeria icon John Obi Mikel is in search of a new employer. Kuwait SC announced via Instagram on Thursday that they have terminated the contract of the experienced midfielder. Mikel was four months into a one-year contract with Kuwait SC, whom he joined on a free transfer from Stoke City in July. The former Super Eagles star was appointed captain of Kuwait SC shortly after agreeing terms with the club. Although he is departing Kuwait SC without making his league debut, he represented the Brigadiers in the AFC Cup. Mikel previously had spells with Premier League side Chelsea, Championship outfits Middlesbrough and Stoke City, Trabzonspor in Turkey and Chinese team Tianjin Jinmen Tiger. The central midfielder recorded 372 appearances in all competitions during a ten-and-a-half-year association with Chelsea, including 59 matches in the Champions League and four in the knockout rounds of the Europa League |

Delight yourself with this beautiful clip of some of Osimhen showings so far in Napoli. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTQE0QuwjfE Osimhen's all round play is dazzling. His finishing, his pressing, his dribbles and passing, his tackles are candy to the eyes. This is why we love him |

An experienced player like victor moses has no reason to not be playing for SE. in the final round, Moses must be recalled by any means necessary |

| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by 12large1: 1:43am On Nov 05, 2021 |
Meliforme:Musa played mostly as a striker for cska in his prime, while ejuke played as a winger. Nontheless, ejuke still has to produce (goals or assist) in order to reach musa status. Dribble dribble without end product isn’t it |

12large1:https://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/ahmed-musa-where-next-after-west-bromwich-albion-snub/vdb3k21fu87y1lal52m0yajd0 Solace Chukwu on goal.com talked about Ahmed Musas limitations in an article here is a quotation from him "Musa is rapid still, but has never had the close control, associative play or decision-making to be a consistent threat at a high level when played wide" Note that these same issues are mentioned which are 1. His close control 2. Decision making 3. Associative play: which is his awareness of his team mates postion on the field of play in relation to his own and his ability to make telling passes to them. Here is another quotation on why he did not succeed in the premier league "Sure, his stint in the Premier League did not go so well, but there will be no one more keenly aware of his limitations as a player than the man himself. He quite simply was not good enough to make a mark in that league, and it showed on the handful of occasions he did pull on Leicester blue" So you see, Musa has limitations to his game he did not work on and with his loss of speed and old age, it has caught up with him. Against South Africa in the nations cup, his decision making was a problem again. Chidera Ejuke is tactically and technically better in many aspects of the game and is a finner footballer. |

AndSunGorilla:Emma Olisadebe got his polish citizenship with Polish government involvement. Emma was a player Nigeria missed...I asked him as a friend why?Emma said he will never get the chance to play for Nigeria cos he has seen talents that Nigeria never gave enough chances to show case their talents.....He don't see any reason why highly talented Sunday Johnson who was better should always be on the bench for Pius Ikedia during Sydney 2000......He cited James Obiorah case and really surprised that highly talented James couldn't get enough opportunities and when he does it was cleared he was not wanted. Emma was a pure class, the first university student I saw and I told him straight that what are you doing in the school with this crazy talent....he was selected for world university games as a street footballer alongside Seyi Olofinjana(Lautech)James Jigbale(OAU) and NPFL highest goal scorer Edith Agoye(UI)but was rated than Edith Agoye during world university games. After World University games, coach Fanny Amu who led the team to world university game told him pointblank that he must sign for a club in Nigeria,he moved to Jasper United and shake Nigeria league, then proceeded to Poland to sign a professional contract with polonia Warsaw. He was the first black player to play for Poland national team and represented polish team in 2002 WC. |

12large1:Yes you are right,4 World Cup goals no be moi moi....I always supporting Musa with that 4 goals but I now realized I need to stop it. Musa was given the chance at a young age and he did well and whether we like it or not age is no respecter of anyone...Musa of today is different from Musa of yesterday,so there is need to give player like Ejuke needed chance, possibly he might be better than Musa. I never rate Kalu and Simon but Ejuke is a pure class and I would be delighted seeing Lookman in SE colour with Ejuke and Chuckwueze. |

Meliforme:Playmaking, linkup play, passing because he dribbled 3 people abi? Ejuke is just a good dribbler his other attributes are not even above average to be compared to prime Musa |

oloriooko:You no dey there when Rohr they bench an inform Osimhen for him and when Rohr has been talking about lack of experience in his team, he is now called back it seems like a foreign concept to you like it has not been coming |

oloriooko:Let's be real... Why would Ighalo pay his way back into the national team? what's there for him to gain? Will he get a bigger club to sign him because he's back in the team, or will he be getting paid more than what he currently earns at his club? This is simply Rohr and Pinnick cluelessness at play.. Rohr has no idea how to improve the team, and Pinnick can't sack Rohr because of the ridiculous pay out he gave him in his new contract, so they are both clowning around.... |

Meliforme:He has 4 goals and 2 assists in 13 matches no dey put it in bold like he has done anything special, Musa has 63 goals and 33 assists in 184 matches for Cska and Ejuke has a long way to go before he gets there |

na that same problem many have here. just because ejuke have managed to dance pass to or three CAR players makes him better than musa at his prime, i laugh musa's records at cska are tantalizing which made Leicester pay huge to bring him to england and i doubt if ejuke will match his feat in the moscow based club no disrespect to ejuke, he is an enterprising young player who still have enough time to develop but i repeat i doubt if he can match musa's record with the moscow based side Subzero047: |
