but according to our resident Southgate Lookman told him personally he had already made a request to switch
How you guys believe those cheap lies told by that boy really amaze me. Na because he claims hold a British passport? Dude claims to know and dine with every damne player, scout, coach in England and you guys believe such person isnt trying so hard to impress in here? Nothing that guy said or boasted of has ever come out true, and whenever his lies get detected he embarks on a self imposed exile only to make a return when he notices that the storm has settled. grin

Nwakali nowadays plays like an Olise or Aribo with zero work rate. It is almost as if he makes bets before games that he is not going to fall throughout the game, so he doesn't tackle, run, or track back.
Aribo has a very high workrate biko

Lookman actually turned down Nigeria 3 times chai

Meanwhile Kelechi Nwakali completed his first 90 minutes of the season yesterday.

TheLoneCitizen:
Europa Conference League not English Conference League.

Tosin has made more starts in a top division this season than Nwakali has in his entire life.

Not to talk of Europe.

Let me be petty tonight. The closest Nwakali has gotten to European football is on television.
the bolded off me cheesy cheesy cheesy

the bolded was true and he was among the best during his time with united's youth. he was in the same team with rashford and mcctominay. he declined a new contract at united just to play first team football elsewhere
TheLoneCitizen:
In that same squad was Bamgboye, Lazarus, Anumudu, Chukwueze and Osimhen. The first three have fallen off, the last two have justified their inclusion.

Has Nwakali justified any inclusion?

This is not about what Tosin or Nwakali has done for Nigeria, but who deserves praises here.

But if it comes to what they have done, then know that at the peak of his career at Manchester United, when England wanted to poach him, he dumped them publicly for us.

Kane and sterling are both world class bros

If you had doubted sterling I would not have quoted you ,but common Harry Kane ? Don’t come here and tell me he needs to win any trophy before you consider him world class

TheGoodJoe:
Rhor might slowly ease Ighalo in but if we are up against tough offensive sides, don't get shocked if Rhor starts Ighalo ahead of Osimhen.

If Rhor is going conservative, he will likely start Ighalo ahead because Ighalo suits that style more.

This is what happens when coaches that prefer a conservative approach against top teams. Remember how the likes of Lukaku, Mata, De Bruyne, Salah, and David Luiz did not suit Mourinho at Chelsea.

That is why Rhor can prefer to start Awaziem as a right-back over the likes of Aina and Ebuehi.

Mourinho is a defensive-minded manager and wants his back four to always worry about the worst-case scenario, rather than what will happen if everything goes right – which is the mentality of Luiz, and why he didn’t fit in at Chelsea... From Independent on Why Mourinho sold David Luiz

Rhor's mindset is that the opposition are better and the team must shape up to nullify their greatness. He does not coach with the mentality that his side is better.

I think this is the biggest reason why we should start sticking to indigenous coaches. No matter how we put it, we believe in ourselves more than these foreign coaches do.

We believe we are exceptional and can achieve great things. These white coaches see us as incapable.

So with all the flair and gifts of our players, Rhor does not see it. That is why he needs more defenders than midfielders.
Yeah you are right. If we can use chidera ejuke, emmanuel dennis, Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Sadiq Umar we can actually score goals against world class teams like France or Italy. I mean 3 or 4 goals but rohr may not use them like that because he does not beleive in the inherent talent of the average Nigerian.
He will tell us they are not playing in Real Madrid and therefore, cannot score 3 goals against France.
He will not pay attention to the fact that we scored 3 goals against Bulgaria (a star studded team that got to the semi finals of usa 94 and we also scored 3 goals against a star studded Spain with Raul in 1998.
Most European coaches do not understand that we are a footballing nation on our own and despite our recent challenges,
Nigerian football is Nigerian football and that is all.
Westerhood understood this and gave us the confidence to take on the world by selecting the right players.
I mean he preferred Yekini to Richard Owubokiri who was scoring goals all over Europe and in a better league
You see we are Nigeria and the Nigerian concept of football needs to be respected thats all.
