You are just dumb! Very stupid. People like you are the ones killing Nigeria

You are a dunce and your brain is half cooked.

You need to first go and ask him what he was doing that led to the glass breaking. I'm also an international traveler who has stayed in over 100 different hotels both in Nigeria and in about 10 other countries and I know for a fact that before the glass used in bath cubicles in a hotel breaks one needs to apply a very high degree of force

That hotel is owned by a consortium of companies which includes a subsidiary of First Bank Holdings.

You can quote me on this because I was involved in the process of raising funds when the hotel was being constructed over 13 years ago.

I regard this hotel as one of the worst in the Lagos highbrow area.

I was there a few months ago for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, I arrived at about 1:30 pm, for my guest to arrive.

At about 2 pm, after my guest had arrived, we were told buffet time was over till the next one by 4 pm.

So we were advised to sit outside near the lagoon to order a meal. I and my guy went outside, seeing the number of people outside, we decide to sit near where there was less sunlight.

After Jisting for 1hr and several attempts to get a waiter to attend to us, we realised no waiter was ready to take our order except we come closer to where there were more people and the sun will be bashing like no tomorrow or we pay immediately after been served, I accepted the latter, since I can't be sweating to eat food.

Another 30mins passed and still no response, so I went to meet a waiter directly to ask why we are not been served despite agreeing to pay immediately after being served and the reply was we should just move to the more populated side.

We agreed, by now it was almost 4 pm, which we time for their buffet, I was like should we just go for buffet or wait for someone to take our other, my guy was like, let wait since we have moved here.

We eventually got someone to take our order at past 4 pm and the journey to waiting for the food was another drama.

By now we were tired of jisting, "since food no show"

At 5 pm, we still dey wait for food that we needed since 2 pm oo!

When the food eventually came, the pepper level was not for the faint hearted, we now asked when will our drinks be served??

For 20mins, I was almost choking from the pepper, my eyes were watery and I could not shout, I was just using sign language to ask for water...

At the end, they didn't even apologise for the poor service and delays...

Honestly, i don't know. Because Nigeria keeps on going down trend. Until we solve the problem of uncontrollable love of money, the country will continue to go down.

The back stairway is used for fire emergencies, which is more important the guest battling for his life or other guest seeing a guest battling for his life. Someone is bleeding out and u are carrying him on d stairs when there is a lift. While I don't know of any hotel that has an ambulance, big hotels subscribe to ambulance services where an ambulance is always parked at the hotel 24/7 . This I have seen in a 3 star hotel

But what about the glass? If the correct glass was used, we wouldn't have this thread at all.

I fell without any injury, but trust me I got 500$ voucher and many calls from the hotel hirachy.

My problem with the story is why didn't he sue the hotel? Since he had the receipts of the bills he incurred and can prove that the accident was as a result of direct negligence/ incompetence of the hotel, why not contact a lawyer and sue. He is entitled to compensation for money spent, income lost and psychological trauma.

He get why.
