It's quite pathetic. Inasmuch as the customer's correct credentials were used via alternate channels to carryout the fraud, the bank is indemnified. Banks don't have controls over compromised customers' personal details. Lawyers must chop. 1 Like |

Maxymilliano:I have being asking this question and nobody is giving me a good answer. If i give someone something to keep for me based on some agreement, if the thing got lost or Stolen, am i not suppose to hold the person that i gave that thing responsible? Why are the banks not being held responsible for all the things, are not suppose to keep our money safe? 4 Likes |

Re: Ogun Teacher Tackles Bank, Online Store As Fraudsters Empty Account by MT: 8:19am On Nov 09, 2021 |
I think people need to go to the bank to deactivate online transaction on their account, especially if you do online transactions much. You only need to tell your bank and it will be done. Just allow for ATM withdrawal alone and don't ever send anyone to withdraw at the ATM for you. |

Maxymilliano: GTBank is seriously understaffed in their IT department, most of their IT guys are moving to other banks because of problems like underpayments, promotional delays, arrears and allowances not being paid, overwork as a result of understaffing.
